The Banc du Cerf is a self-sufficient chalet: its design has integrated a totally Eco responsible approach. Electricity is produced by solar panels; water is collected from a mountain spring during the winter season and heating is provided by the pellet stove and the fireplace. This authentic and warm accommodation also offers great comfort and an absolute quietness, in perfect harmony with Nature.

The chalet is located on a 7000 m2 plot of land in the middle of the forest, facing south, which allows you to enjoy the beautiful sunny days. It is served by a gravel road of 2km, very practicable by car, followed by an easy pedestrian path of about 40 meters. This road is not authorized for traffic and its use is reserved for residents and foresters. The chalet is located at an altitude of 920 m; therefore, it is rare to have a lot of snow hindering access. If this happens, we provide a 4×4 vehicle to drive the kilometer to the chalet.

Nature lovers will appreciate the outdoor Nordic bath, which offers a unique view of the forest and the surrounding mountains. The outdoor space also has a campfire and a real pizza oven: change of scenery and conviviality guaranteed. Le Banc du Cerf is an authentic wooden chalet, with a rustic and cozy spirit. Come and enjoy a hot chocolate by the fireplace!

The chalet allows access to the most beautiful hikes around the lake: Aulp Chalet, Col de la Forclaz, Dent de Lanfon, Angon Cascade or La Tournette. The sporty ones will be able to practice paragliding at Planfait and at the Forclaz pass, accrobranching (forest course at 3 km) or canyoning nearby. The more peaceful will enjoy the most beautiful sunset on the lake at the Forclaz pass (2 km), while tasting a raclette on the restaurants terrace.

The accommodation
The house has 3 bedrooms upstairs and a double bed on the first floor.
On the ground floor:
– 2 living areas, the first with a sofa bed that converts into a real double bed facing the view and the second around the wood stove.
– Very convivial dining area, with an open fireplace in the center of the room.
– Bar and equipped kitchen.
– Bathroom and WC.
On the first floor:
– 3 bedrooms. Two rooms with two double beds (140×190) and a dormitory room with a double bed and an alcove with a single bed.
– Bathroom and WC.
– Game corner.
Outside: large terrace with dining area, barbecue, pizza oven, Nordic bath, deck chairs and campfire area.
