The Willa is like an art project, everything designed for visual/physical effect. They have very good food in the restaurant, designer drinks. Great facilities (pools) and lovely grounds. The rooms are a trip — and the heating system is the least intrusive we’ve ever seen. But they have made design choices that crimp us a bit — no microwave, no refrigerator, and no towel bars.

Second time staying here... beautiful property and love the sauna but cold plunge out of service while there. Bathroom faucet damaged (loose from wall). Only non-dairy milk for coffee is pecan milk (due to desire for only local sourced products) which tastes bitter. Out of coffee cup lids during both our stays. Pastry/breakfast options lacking. Received a text on Friday from front desk upon check-in for an art class on Saturday from 4 to 6, which wife signed up for right away but never received a confirmation. After asking front desk on Saturday morning and not getting an answer, we finally got a text in early afternoon that the event was cancelled (likely due to low participation). All-in-all, despite minor inconveniences, we like this property and would still recommend it.

Floating shelves outside of the bathroom in room 220 knocked me in the head twice at night. Poor design. Redundant $30 resort fee. Staff at checkout was disinterested in the fact that their floating shelves in walking headspace injured me. On another note, food was amazing. Taos is definitely not my kind of town.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Willa. The room was very clean and thoughtfully decorated. It had everything we needed to for a comfortable 3 night stay. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The pool and hot tub were both well cared for and clean. The vibe of this hotel is so peaceful and relaxing. Hotel Willa was exactly what I needed for a restful vacation.

Great staff, beautiful remodeled rooms, well done landscaping with fire pits, hammocks and wildflowers. Only downside was extraordinarily heavy doors and an unexpected level of security. Love that there is such support for local artists.
