Wanderlust Retreat has been freshly renovated (in May 2026), bringing this charming cottage beautifully up to date while retaining its warm and welcoming feel.

When you book a stay at Wanderlust Retreat, you can relax knowing you’ll have the entire property to yourselves. Tucked away as a small sanctuary amidst the hustle and bustle of Lake Taupō, this thoughtfully decorated one-bedroom cottage offers comfort, privacy, and everything you need for a relaxing stay.

Whether you`re seeking a romantic getaway or a peaceful solo escape, Wanderlust Retreat provides a serene and cosy place to unwind while enjoying the beauty of New Zealand’s stunning landscape.

The Space

Designed for comfort year-round, the property features a heat pump in both the lounge and bedroom, keeping the cottage warm in winter and cool in summer.
To help you relax and make the most of your stay, a Bluetooth speaker is also provided so you can enjoy your favourite music while unwinding in your own private retreat.

There is off-street parking in the driveway and the property is fully fenced and gated.

Nice quiet place with everyting you would need in the kitchen. Only lacked manuals for us oldies to reference when we can not get things to work like pay Tv. Otherwise the place was nice and snug for middle of winter.
