Nice large clean room, comfy king-size bed and pillows. Good supply of tea/coffee but needed an extra bottle of water (one between 2 is not enough, we bought our own the next day). Good TV, nice quiet room so good night's sleep. Good size bathroom, but personally I don't like shower over bath (esp with no non slip rubber mat), I'd prefer walk in shower as much safe and easier to use, also shower controls all a bit wonky, good water power but temp control difficult as just went hot/cold of it's own accord (thermostat broken?) and floor got flooded as screen didn't fit tight to bath so had to leave used towels on the floor after use which meant we wanted them changed every day which defeats the environmental opportunity to reuse the same towels a few times. Also, put some hooks on the back of the bathroom door so you can hang them up to dry. Lovely setting within the parkland/gold course at the top of a hill, so great views. Very nice common areas e.g. reception, bar area, lounges etc. Spa well equipped and clean, but small changing rooms, and need a little shelf in the showers to put specs! Large car park. Tewks is within walking distance but coming back it's a long walk uphill to the hotel once you enter the driveway. Breakfast is excellent, it's a self serv buffet, but it's great quality with lots of choice. Ate there in the evening twice and had drinks both times, food all very good. All staff were excellent, courteous and very helpful. We'd stop here again.

Parking was easy. Breakfast selection was good, however at peak times there were queues for tables (5-10 mins at times). Note the swimming pool/gym building is detached from the hotel so requires a short walk outside to get to it. Gym is well equipped. Dinner was good. Afternoon tea was also good although staff not particularly attentive as they seemed more focused on preparing for dinner. Overall enjoyable stay and I would recommend - two nights adequate.

The hotel was beautiful. The room was quite small but perfectly formed! The pool was great but the area was quite cold because it’s attached to the outside sauna and hot tub. Would definitely go back.

All good from reception to check out. Room was great but would have liked a bath. Food was good but I wasn't asked about my dietary requirements. Breakfast was very good but a tad limited. The staff were all enthusiastic and helpful. The leisure facilities were GREAT and the opening hours excellent
