Unique and relaxing stay

We had a lovely stay at this unique character-filled small hotel. The hosts Andrea and his son were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great value and included local yoghurts, breads, pastries and delicious local meat and cheese. We also really enjoyed evening sundowners on the little terrace upstairs.

A hidden gem! The hotel and surrounding area is very charming! Andrea is a great host and the attention he gave to every detail in his place is just amazing. He is very kind and very helpful. I have never left a review for a place that I have stayed. Ever. But our stay at Ostello del Castello in Tirano was so fantastic that a positive review was necessary. The owner, Andrea, ensured our stay was perfect. His family property is a seven centuries old modern renovation. Our room was clean, comfortable and secure. Breakfast was delicious: meat and cheese plates, pasties, yogurt, granola, breads, fruits, coffees and juices. The location is an 8 minute walk from the train station. Plenty of great restaurants within walking distance. This location is perfect as a home base: within an hour you could be at Lake Como or multiple ski areas. You can ride the UNESCO listed Bernina Express to Switzerland right in Tirano. I can't say enough good things about Andrea and Ostello del Castello. Stay here. You won't be disappointed!
