I feel like we got scammed!!! The outside and the lobby look modernized and new, but the second we entered our room we felt like we went back in time to the 80s! The room was so outdated, and it felt gross staying in there. The pillows had stains, the bed skirt and carpet were ripped. What?!

Not worth the value.

This hotel has very high star rating, but is very dated in the room decor and, even worse, is dingy and a bit run down. The poor ratings were relative to the star level of this property. I was super disappointed and dissatisfied with the room we were given. The rug and the sofa had several nasty looking stains. Gross. The bed was very worn out and soft/with lumps. Even the toilet looked old and was retro fitted with a bidet fixture. Rather sad for higher end Japanese hotel. Worst of all, when I wrote the hotel the night after we checked in, I didn’t get a response for almost 24hrs. I was offered a change of rooms - but it didn’t make sense since it was our last night (2day stay). When I asked if they would comp us a dinner, they refused and only offered us buffet breakfast, which was not very good. Overall, this hotel was not nearly as nice as others in Osaka and Hakone.

It’s a typical Japanese hotel. Maybe one notch better than APA. Don’t consider it to be a 4 star hotel. it’s a factory , no early check in no late check out. No request entertained. I specifically requested that my room should not be very far from elevator and instead they gave me the last room in the hall and asked to adjust for 5 nights. No room service. The rooms were not being cleaned properly. Probably by the time cleaners reached my room they must be tired.

I usually stay at the club level. The facility is old but well taken care of. Club lounges are very nice. The hotel has history and wonderful inner court garden. Many restaurants neary by are decently priced. Very close to JR Shinagawa station with great access to Haneda Airport and to other cities.

This hotel is very outdated and not well maintained. The edges of the mattress cover in our room were worn and frayed. A strong odor of smoke permeated our “non-smoking” room. Bathroom facilities are old; it included a tub with surround shower curtain. It’s difficult to find your way around and through the property. There are several hotels on the site which add to the confusion. Overall, I am unable to recommend this hotel. In my opinion, the 8.6 point rating posted on Expedia was not warranted. It should rank instead in the 7.5-7.8 range.

This is not a good hotel for travelers. It’s not a convention centers with rooms. Super rowdy with big groups of either conferences or organized tours. It’s far from the city, no good food options around. The hotel’s breakfast is crowded. Long queues and waiting times for everything stop checkin to checkout to breakfast. The staff, while polite, is not friendly, makes mistakes with bills, everything takes a long time to even talk to somebody who can answer your question and even than the problems are not resolved. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for solo/couple/family travels.
