I was pleasantly surprised by the Is hotel. From check in to check out everything was fantastic. The room was amazing. The only thing I would change is it would have been nice to have a smart tv to stream.

Great hotel and an amazing property in general. The Japanese gardens that they highlight on the website are even better in person and actually made many of the other local gardens look boring and a bit run down. The hotel is also very nice. The staff were all very friendly and helpful! They really cared about helping you out! Good location though you did have to travel a little for food options outside of the hotel.

Amazing beautiful Stay

I booked this room for a friend, I have a second room booked for me. Everything in and outside ( especially the Garden) is phantatic, excellent. I have really enjoyed my stay and my friend saud the same. We are sad to leave, but for sure we will come back. Also i am very positive about the japanese guests, which are very polite, quite, well dressed. This makes a stay also more attractive. The location of the hotel is also very good , some minutes to walk you have the next Metro station but also Garden, Shrine and a good Restaurant area nearby. ( hotel Restaurants are also excellent).

Close to subway station that took you anywhere in Tokyo you could have wanted to go. Magnificent grounds to wander around. Plenty of restaurants at the hotel if you did not want to go out. All in all a great stay.

Formal hotel maybe not best for families

I think this hotel is great for business travel or perhaps people without kids. The rooms were big and the onsite garden was beautiful but I wouldn’t say it was the most family friendly. It felt a little too formal for my young kids.

Extremely Overpriced for a Mediocre Service

The hotel is extremely overpriced for the rooms it has and the amenities it provides. I stayed at two different types of rooms and while the higher end ones are sligjtly better designed, they are still not worth the fees you'll end up paying. The biggest turn off however, was the extremely high price of food and drinks! 1,700¥ for a espresso or 89,000¥ for a an absolutely mediocre breakfast buffet makes no sense. I have stayed at other high end hotels in Tokyo multiple times and this one is definitely not worth the price! Try Kimpton or Hayatt for a much better experience.
