unit is fine...but beware all of the extra charges

The unit is fine...location good. Property managers are ridiculous. Its a two bedroom unit....two people registered....yet they only provide one key. And when you ask for another key, they demand extra money. What hotel charges for an extra set of keys...especially one that has two bedrooms and two guests. Also ask for a substantial damage deposit...which they were VERY slow to return. Extended the stay one night (unit in a condo was available) and still charged for ridiculous extra fees and cleaning fees...when no cleaning happened until end of entire stay) Be preparted for beligerence and extra costs for everything.

I read every review on this property that accompanied your listing. I was thorough with the information you provided. Given the name hotel.com I assumed I was dealing with a hotel type property. While I had a wake up call of 4 am, near midnight I was awakened by my phone and the property calling for a security deposit, among other items, equivalent to the cost of the stay. Given this shakedown I did not feel comfortable staying there and paid for a room at another hotel I did NOT book through you. I could not get a refund and so paid for 2 hotels. Apparently there was a tab called policies. Give. I was not on a site like vrbo, I was looking for hotels, I did not notice this tab. I think this is very deceitful and therefore, I will not be back.

This apartment was perfect for my family of 4 while traveling internationally. The property was clean, easy to navigate, and the pool/hot tub/sauna were welcome extra perks at the end of a long day. We felt safe, and it was walkable to dining and shopping, groceries, and even the subway for exploring other areas of the city.

Firstly, this company has no business advertising on Expedia, what is stated in the property details is not accurate and doesn’t align with what they request after booking. If you are elderly or don’t like dealing with chatbots or strictly remote customer service reps, then don’t consider this place. Don’t consider it either way but especially in that case. Second, this is the type of property that is contributing to the housing crisis. The company is probably run by some investor bros that are mediocre at best when it comes to investing, hospitality and property management. What you are booking is an apartment within another apartment, so they’ve taken over a floor or maybe just a section of a floor in a condo building. The building & apartment was shabby. The apartment while mostly clean was shabby, much like the service. The extra linens are stored in a giant, damp, tangled ball in the dryer (you know instead of paying someone to fold and put them away)- an absurd hospitality choice but totally on brand with the rest of the experience. Most light switches aren’t connected to lights and decor looks like they just ran to the dollar store to fill up the space. No check out instructions are provided in advance, but to put the key in the lockbox. After unnecessary back and forth with a virtual agent, you’ll find that the lockbox is located in the garage, chained to a wall and of course is not labeled as your suite number. Lots of issues not enough characters to elaborate!

Everything is great about the apartment. The only issue is the television that loses its internet connection and there is no way to fix it. It’s the TV and not the WiFi - other devices like phones and computers connect fine to the WiFi.

Poor directions and lack of communication and sofa

A photo was sent on where to pick up the key from a lock box. The description was very very poor. I was complelty jet lagged and took forever to find the key on the bottom floor of the building. I had the cab driver drive us down..kept looking for it and finally we found it. The person at the front desk told us to go around and through the garage. That was an error on the part of the person in the lobby. We couldnt find then, the elevator to go back up from thebottom floor and I kept calling global stay at around midnight and they wouldn't answer the phone. The explanation needed to be a lot clearer . We were four in the apartment and the sofa bed was absolutley horrendous. Hard to sleep on..like a board. It was also filthy. It was a sofa that opened into a "bed", but ut was broken. They said they would fix it..but I didn't want anyone coming in our apartment while we were gone. What compounded it all, as that we were majorly jet lagged and also, that GHlobal stay was hard to get a hold of when I needed them most. I was in touch with them as to the time I would get in, but i feel that they chose not to answer the phone at 12:00am. It was apin to stay there because of that. and the sofa bed..forget about it..even if it had been cleaned it was like a board.
