Great location, very quiet, nice gym especially for a hotel. A lot of staff as new hotel and learning the ropes but felt a little overwhelming at times. Too many staff in restaurant since it is a buffet and they don't even bring you coffee or water. Hostess was a little controlling as I entered when I was meeting my son who was already in the restaurant. However all of this to say, I think it is because it is new and people are training. The facilities, the friendliness of staff especially security and entry staff was great.

This is a smaller, boutique hotel. No frills, but has clean, stylish lobby + minimalistic rooms with nice bathroom/shower features. For the price, excellent location - 10-20 min walk to Jays stadium, fine dining, St Lawrence Market, Kensington Market and more. Exactly what we needed to spend the day exploring the city and come back to rest & recharge. Very friendly staff. Note: Union Station downtown Toronto is only about 15 mins walking distance to hotel. If you have minimal luggage, this is a great option… fly in, take the UP train from airport to Union Station, then walk to Riu hotel. We had carry on luggage and did this with ease.

This was a lovely hotel to stay in. My only complaint is that we were told that breakfast was included in the fee. When we went to the breakfast buffet the first morning we were told that breakfast was only included the first day and then after that we would have to pay $30.00 for the breakfast. This seemed deceitful quite frankly.
