Great Stay in Downtown Toronto

Awesome stay, large room with a comfy bed. Close to tons of restaurants and cafes. Walking distance to CN tower, Rogers Centre! Friendly staff! Rhys at checkout was great, offered water as we were walking to Union Station. Would stay again!

The location of this property is wonderful. It’s walking distance to everything. Communication on arrival was a little lacking but the valet staff were wonderful. We travelled with two smal dogs and although they state they are a pet friendly hotel there wasn’t much that made them “friendly”. The front desk did not know where the closest green space was (FYI it’s a short walk away) and they didn’t offer any in room pet supplies (ex. water bowl) despite the pet fee charged per night. They said the pet fee was for the deep cleaning required after the pets left but the carpet and furniture in the room was so damaged and stained that’s hard to imagine. People have definitely been messier than our two dogs. Finally, the pool is freezing! We booked a hotel with a pool thinking we’d make use of it but it was way too cold to actually enjoy. We would have booked elsewhere, with no pool, had we known. It would have been cheaper. Overall the location is great but I’m not sure we’d be back given the cost. There are other great hotels in the area that we’ve enjoyed more.

This was our first visit to Toronto . We arrived at Pearson Airport and took the UP train into Union Station. We bought tickets at the airport and journey for adults was around $12 each. The hotel is easily walkable from Union Dtation - about 12-15 minutes. Staff were very friendly and helpful and addressed any questions we had re where to go etc. lots of eateries around the hotel as well as an onsite restaurant. Our room was very good. We had a view of the CN Tower, our bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom very good with a large walk in shower. Getting around the city was easy - although we walked most days we did buy a day pass from the subway station which covers you for the whole day on both the subway and buses. Very easy to use and navigate. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Sutton Place and highly recommend it. Forgot to say it is about a 10 minute walk to the Blue Jays Stadium.
