This hotel is perfect if you're popping into the city for a night or two and you're looking for somewhere clean and safe to sleep. The room was basic but had everything I needed and is close to the TTC. I would recommend.

Would definitely stay here again. Seems to be a safe area. Old building; but clean. My only suggestion would be to tidy up the extension cords/power bar use and supply a charging port for phones. I used the USB on the tv but it was painfully slow.

Did not see the owners or anyone at front desk during my 3 night stay. Renovations were not done by professionals (e.g. interesting bathroom tiling), but they do try to make it as comfortable as possible. Hot shower with good pressure & I was on 3rd floor. Very much appreciated the hand-held shower head. Good towels, although toilet paper and facial tissues were rough. Thin walls though, and woken by neighbours even though they weren't very loud. Noisy mini-fridge and be aware electrical wiring can't take heavy load. They replaced the A/C unit during my stay, and also fixed the loose radiator cover which I mentioned on my note to them. Quiet neighbourhood & quite safe at night. Close to restaurants and transit. For the price, location and amenities provided, I'd stay again.

The location is fantastic, and the price is right, which is why we chose this hotel. Our room was billed as "Superior Room, King", but it was in fact two single beds pushed together, and there was a seam in between. Additionally the pillows were very hard and round and gave us stiff necks. The bathroom was so tiny, and they do not provide toiletries, other than hand soap. So I would not say that it gets top marks for comfort, and not sure what makes the room "Superior". The credit card machine would not work when we arrived, so there was some delay/confusion there, that ultimately got worked out later via the booking platform. So I'd say this is a budget friendly hotel with nice staff but definitely needs some updating/improving.

Loved the location - very convenient for transit from the airport and very walkable to downtown Toronto, U of T, etc. I had a late check-in and the check-in procedure was simple and well communicated. I'd definitely stay at Victoria's Mansion again and highly recommend!
