Giens is so special because—unlike most of the Côte d’Azur—it isn’t completely built up. The house is located on a quiet cul-de-sac.
From the house, you can reach the sea in a variety of ways: at rocky coves or at the two very different, 4-km-long sandy beaches that form the land connection. There are also wonderful hikes, walks, bike rides, and day trips. A paradise for water sports: kitesurfing, surfing, sailing, diving...
Long-term stays in the mild, sunny climate are also very pleasant in fall, winter, and spring. For rentals spanning several months, we can negotiate a price.
Perfect for freelancers and journalists (excellent Wi-Fi available). Also very suitable for family vacations with (young) children. You can enjoy wonderful vacations amidst the wild Mediterranean nature and set out from the house on day trips to experience Provence’s cultural, culinary, and natural attractions. Or simply relax by strolling around the house and the island or going for hikes.

A €160 final cleaning fee is payable in cash upon departure; there is a €25 surcharge per pet for the duration of the stay. Bed linens and towels can be provided for €20 per set per person.

une belle maison de vacances

La maison est très bien placée (accès possible à pieds d'une plage) dans un endroit magnifique et calme. L'équipement de la maison est très complet (WIFI fibre) et la vue sur la terrasse exceptionnelle. des documents apportent des précisions intéressantes sur le tourisme alentours . Les contacts avec Madame Oswald ont été faciles et très cordiaux

Kleines Paradies

Das Häuschen liegt ganz oben auf dem Berg, welcher den vorderen Teil der Halbinsel definiert. Daher bietet sich v.a. von der Terrasse, sowie dem Wohnzimmer und der Küche ein toller weiter Blick über das Meer und rüber zum Festland. Es ist sehr gut ausgestattet (Küchenutensilien, Strandzubehör, Liegen...), sehr sauber, sowie auch sehr auserwählt und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Gegend ist überaus ruhig und weitläufig. Giens und Hyeres sind zwar Urlaubsorte, trotzdem findet man hier weder Hotels noch sonstigen Massentourismus. Ein paar Restaurants, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und verschiedene Badebuchten lassen sich gut zu Fuß oder mit dem Fahrrad erreichen, man sollte allerdings aufgrund der Hanglage eine gewisse Kondition mitbringen. Es ist ein Stellplatz auf dem Grundstück vorhanden, welcher mit einem Tor abschließbar ist und mit etwas Parkgeschick auch für einen Van (z.B. Renault Trafic) ausreicht. Die fußläufig erreichbaren, verschieden großen Felsenbuchten sind nicht überlaufen, sehr sauber und mit kristallklarem Wasser. Der Abstieg zu den Buchten sollte nicht unterschätzt werden, festes Schuhwerk oder Badeschuhe statt Flipflops sind hier empfehlenswert. Mit kleineren Kindern eignet sich daher einer der Kiesstrände besser. Für kühlere Tage bietet sich der nahegelegene Küstenwanderweg sehr gut an! Kurzum - wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Wir waren 6 Tage hier, hätten es aber mit Sicherheit mindestens doppelt so lange ohne Langeweile ausgehalten.

Une vue à couper le souffle !

Sur un chemin discret, se trouve la location, inutile de préciser que le silence y règne. La propriété a ce charme désuet des maisons de famille. Nous y avons passé un merveilleux séjour en famille et, chose rarissime, avec notre chien ! La propriétaire a tout prévu : l’arrivée, la documentation, les conseils (les suivre, ils sont justes). Elle est très réactive. Allez à la Capte !

Une maison très bien située dans un environnement de nature exceptionnel avec vue sur la mer.

Séjour ensoleillé dans ce petit coin idéal de la Presqu'île de Giens. La maison est parfaitement équipée et située à deux pas de la Tour Fondue, d'où partent les bateaux pour Porquerolles. Je recommande vivement.

Gute Lage, Aussicht und Ruhe, schattiges Naturgrundstück

Sehr gute Lage in in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße, von wo man zu Fuß zu schönen Plätzen an der Südküste der Halbinsel, zum Hafen La Tour Fondue, zum Inselrundweg und zur Fähre nach Porquerolles gehen kann. Auch die Bushaltestelle nach Hyeres sehr nah. Die Aussicht in zwei Richtungen vom Wohnzimmer und von der Terrasse ist wirklich klasse. Das Haus hat einen sehr großen Wohn- und Essbereich, Küchenutensilien und auch Lesestoff sind reichlich vorhanden. Die 1960er-Jahre-Anmutung muss man allerdings mögen, Bad und Schlafzimmer in der unteren Etage fanden wir nicht wirklich einladend und ziemlich vermieft. Das große Naturgrundstück mit vielen Bäumen und Sträuchern ist sehr schattig - im Sommer sicher wunderbar, für einen Aufenthalt im Winterhalbjahr (wir waren im März da), wenn man sich auch mal über einen Sonnenstrahl freut, würde ich es nicht unbedingt empfehlen. Die Vermieterin meldete sich häufig per Telefon mit Tipps (die nicht immer stimmten) und Wünschen - auch das muss man mögen. Zum Schluss gab es leider noch Irritationen über den sehr hohen Preis des Wäschesets.

A Perfect House

Presqu'ille de Giens is a wonderful place and this is the perfect house to stay in while visiting. The house is very private. It is located on a quiet side road with property around it. The views from the terrace are beautiful; when it is chilly you can sit inside the living room and enjoy the views. From the house you can take any number of walks, including to the beach, to the Sentier Littoral (access across the street), into town (15 minutes or so.) Our visit was in April. The weather was sparkling: cool, windy and sunny. There are wall heaters in the rooms to keep the house warm and comfortable. I had visited Giens before in the summer; it was a happy surprise to enjoy Giens without the crowds and in weather that made walking a pleasure. The upstairs has a very pleasant large living room and a kitchen that is well equipped(look for the stove top espresso maker- it is there.) Downstairs are three simple and comfortable bedrooms. Everything is very clean. Katrin was helpful and friendly. Our only regret was that we coudn't stay longer. We certainly hope to return.

Maison très agréable

Très belles vues mer depuis la terrasse. Maison fonctionnelle avec ses trois chambres et ses grands espaces de vie. Pièges à moustiques efficaces, et moustiquaires aux fenêtres des chambres pour pouvoir aérer la nuit sans crainte. Nous avons passé un séjour excellent en famille.

Kleinod in herrlicher Natur

Das Haus ist ein Kleinod in phantastischer Lage. Umgeben von Steineichen, Olivenbäumen und Kiefern liegt es geschützt und dennoch in herrlicher Aussichtslage mit Blick auf das Meer. Die Einrichtung ist funktional und hat dennoch viel Charme durch das Retro-Feeling, das dem Haus eine hohe Authentizität gibt. Wir haben uns sofort sehr wohl gefühlt und konnten uns bei angenehmen Temperaturen sehr gut erholen. Die überaus nette Vermieterin hat uns im Vorfeld mit allen Regelungen vertraut gemacht, die corona-bedingt in Frankreich gelten und uns damit den Aufenthalt leicht gemacht. Ihren Tipps und hilfreichen Anregungen für Ausflüge, Einkäufe und Restaurants kann man blind vertrauen. Sie kennt und liebt die Gegend! Als Familie mit Teenagern und Hund ist das Haus und die Gegend bestens geeignet. Hier kommt jeder auf seine Kosten, auch die Fellnase, die sich im weitläufigen, umzäunten Garten so richtig wohl fühlte. Alles in allem ein Top-Aufenthaltsort, der durch wunderschöne Natur, abwechslungsreiche Entdeckungen (Hyères, Porquerolles, Bormes les Mimosas) und nette Restaurants, Märkte und weitere Einkaufsmöglichkeiten besticht. Sehr zu empfehlen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Unvergesslicher Urlaub

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt an einem traumhaft-schönen Ort in einem Haus mit Seele bei perfekten Gastgebern. Alles war noch viel schöner, als sowieso schon erwartet. Vielleicht haben wir ja das Glück, dort mal wieder etwas Zeit verbringen zu können.

Maison très bien située, propre et bien décorée.

La maison est bien située, avec une jolie vue sur la mer. Très propre et fonctionnelle, la maison (les chambres comme le séjour) sont spacieux. La déco vintage est très sympa. L’environnement très boisé est dépaysant et les balades autour de la maison, agréables. La communication avec la propriétaire a parfois manqué d’amabilité, que nous mettons sur la barrière de la langue qui entrave parfois certaines subtilités. Les tarifs annoncés dans le descriptif ne sont pas ceux demandés par la propriétaire, la location des draps est de 25€/lit et non 15€ annoncés et les frais de ménage sont de 90€ et non 80€. Nous avons passé un bon séjour à Giens et recommandons cette maison.

Un coin de paradis

Grâce à la gentillesse de la propriétaire, ce séjour a été une réussite. La maison est spacieuse, claire, accueillante, on n'y manque de rien (cuisine parfaite etc), wifi efficace, mais surtout vue magnifique sur la mer et jardin agréablement sauvage. Seul bémol: en hiver, la fermeture des restaus rend l'accès aux plages plus difficiles depuis la maison. Nous reviendrons, c'est certain. La presqu'île de Giens regorge de littoraux variés et le marché de La Capte vaut le détour.

Maison bien située, très bien équipée avec une grande et belle pièce de vie, une belle terrasse offrant une superbe vue sur la mer et 3 belles chambres. Hôte disponible et très sympathique. Nous recommandons cette endroit, même pour un séjour hivernal!
