Chateau de la Voute is very disappointing. Unfortunately it has been left to deteriorate over time, so it's scruffy at best, dirty and dilapidated at worst. Bad points - kitchen and kitchen utensils were dirty on arrival (we felt we had to wash cutlery and crockery before using it, and buy our own washing up bowl), wallpaper hanging off bedroom walls and ceilings, a leak in one of the bathroom ceilings from the shower above (this was eventually fixed whilst we were there), worn out and ramshackle furniture, the range cooker didn't work (we were told we couldn't use it), inaccurate listings (gym, TV room, games room are unusable), intrusive property manager/caretaker with a large dog that he brings into the house and which poo's in the outside area. Good points - each bedroom is en-suite, bedding was clean, towels were good, plenty of hot water. The Chateau is shabby but without the chic.
