Quirky old house - tall, on three floors, and thin. The toilet and bathroom are on the ground floor - convenient during the day, but less so at night. The steep stairs could be a problem for people with mobility issues. Parking is not on site, but a payable (not over-priced), secure, multi-story is very convenient, being just over the road by a lovely Italian restaurant. The garden is a haven, though the house is in the city. The house is a haven too. The road is not busy. There is a small, but well stocked supermarket nearby, and several bakeries too.Plumbing and electrics all worked well. Fans are available downstairs and up.The surrounding countryside is easily accessible, though there is also plenty to see in the city. Most of the restaurants appear to be in one street that is less than ten minutes walk away.Sandra, our host, was friendly, helpful, and quickly responsive to questions. We would recommend the house, but with reservations about the stairs.
