The place itself was amazing and the staff were so accommodating. We stayed there for the diving and they did a great job. Had the place to ourselves basically. Pools were refreshing and dining was good. Limited bar and very limited options in the area outside of the resort.

This is the first time I’ve been back to Liberty in years, and it is still the same wonderful resort. The staff have been there for a long time, and are all lovely. Breakfasts are good. The gorgeous tropical gardens are amazing to walk through. The location is good, very easy to walk to all the dining options. 3 pools, so you could find sun or shade any time during the day. Our room was great too, loads of space and very well kept. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Tulamben.

This is an amazing property. Your room is a house with 12’ ceilings. The grounds are kept immaculate. The flowers that rain down every night are swept up by the staff every morning. The pools are crystal clear. The scuba staff is very knowledgeable and thoughtful. I couldn’t recommend more. What a great place to get away!

The hotel is nice and rustic. No TV, and nothing special about it, but it is nice, clean, quiet, and the staffs were friendly. That's all we were looking for after the hustle and bustle of Kuta. There are 3 nice and clean pools at the hotel which we used extensively. The beach is a pebble beach, so unless you are there for diving, there is nothing much you can do there. The waters are too murky for snorkeling or swimming.

This is the second occasion I have stayed at Liberty for a diving week and I was not disappointed. Wayan and his team provided excellent service and they all work hard to personalise your stay. Communication pre-travel and during our stay was responsive, clear and matched the service provided. Airport transfers and short day trips were a breeze and well organised. The location is great for diving the many sites around Talumben and the dives guides are super flexible and knowledgeable. The onsite massage at the end of the day are sensational! Love this place.

A comfortable and peaceful stay in beautiful garde

Overall a comfortable and peaceful stay in beautiful gardens and pools in a very spacious villa. Staff were cheerful and excellent. Meals were good. I went scuba diving for two days and my wife relaxed. My wife would have enjoyed her stay a whole lot more if TV or cable TV was available. Also there was no phone in the room that was a bit inconvenient. The costs for diving with the resort were higher than dive shops in the local area which I used. I suggest the resort have TV and phone and offer more competitive priced diving packages

Dive Resort

As long as you go in knowing this is a basic dive resort, your expectations should be met. Rooms are not fancy, but have all you need to stay and dive. They could do a better job of keeping the inside of the room in better shape (keeping out small bugs, bathroom cleanliness, etc.). The grounds of the hotel are kept in great shape. Workers are very nice. The food at the hotel is not good. Best to walk to the main road, specifically the Safety Stop.

Great if you dive...

Bungalow was great but the restaurant was just ok. Pools were nice but they stop the filtration at noon and people come back from diving and wash in the pools. Not very great. If you do not dive, it's not the place to stay.

Lovely, relaxed dive hotel

The hotel room was a really good size, nice and clean, with a beautiful balcony looking over the top pool (there are 3 pools). As this is largely a hotel for divers the pools were generally deserted during the day and we (non divers) enjoyed this. I had thought to go snorkelling whilst here but they wanted to charge the same as a days motorcycle rental for the snorkelling gear. Apart from this the stay was lovely. The village has just enough restaurants to mix it up for a weeks stay and the nearby supermarket is good for a cold drink and ice lolly!
