Overall we enjoyed our stay at Casa Julian. The place is exactly as pictured and the common areas of the property are maintained well. The place is located in a spot that is not far from the beach, supermarket, etc. We rented a car which was great because a Taxi from the beach area to the condo is about $50 USD!! The beach is about 15-20 mins without traffic so to pay that much for a taxi one way gets expensive very quickly. Anyway back to the condo, we did encounter a few issues. There was hair on the floor in two of the three bedrooms, toilets were dirty in two of the bathrooms, there was paper on the dresser in one room, and we only received four face towels. When we requested additional towels we were told they had left six face towels. They did eventually bring more bath towels but still no more face towels! On our first night there was no water when we returned to the house and it was AWFUL. We were unable to flush the toilets, shower, or use the sinks. The water was out for about 8 hours. The water did work at the bathroom by the common area pool so I'm not sure if it was the whole property or just our condo but we were worried for the rest of the trip that the water may go out. Our plunge pool was kind of murky compared to neighbor's pool which was crystal clear but we didn’t have time to get in it or we would have requested for it to be cleaned .Overall, I would recommend this place and I would stay here again if I returned to Tulum.
