The house is perfect for a couple's escape or a small group getting away from it all. Sitting on 5 acres all to yourself, there are no close neighbors and the house is very easy to access by any car. The setting is so peaceful with gorgeous views of the National Park mountains and the Indian Cove rock formations.

The house is wonderfully placed - 8 minutes east of the Joshua Tree town and between the two National Park entrances (West and North). It is the perfect combination of easily accessible, quiet and serene. It is like staying in a home on Mars :)

The house was built in the 1950's, making it one of the original structures out here. While fixing the place up, we tried to modernize it but stay true to some of the old character that you cannot recreate.

There are 2 bedrooms as well as a small back cabin as a 3rd bedroom. The master bedroom has huge panoramic windows spanning its 25ft length. The experience is just incredible, both day and night. The couch is a large 8ft by 6ft L shape, with mattress-grade high density foam cushions.

The house has a hot tub as well as the 6ftx2ft cowboy pool. There is heating and cooling in all areas, a charcoal grill by the pool, solid wifi, a 60 inch 4k TV in the living room and a 55 inch 4k TV in one of the bedrooms, both with streaming apps, a glorious covered dining area with views of the National Park, a fully stocked kitchen with all you would need to cook (olive oil, spices, coffee, tea).

All photography & commercial use must have written permission before booking. The back cabin is included with 3 or more guests, otherwise just $20 to cover the extra cleaning.

Being in a remote location in the Mojave Desert, the house's setting is 'wild' - there can be ants, spiders, flying bugs. Even after 9 years of living here, the desert can be very unpredictable. We do our best to keep pests at bay, with keeping the doors closed especially at night the most important thing on the guest end. Given nature’s unpredictability we are available and present to help but do not give refunds for anything nature wise that might inadvertently pop up.
