Location very convenient. A little noisy and busy right by river and train station but quieted at night. Breakfast included was very good. Staff was very helpful. Rooms clean and had a great view of the river and could open the windows at night fit great mountain breeze.

We had a lovely balcony & view from our room, looking out onto the gorgeous lake. Our room was spacious however, lacked a cosy feel, very outdated. We had breakfast included, but didn’t use it. We sat downstairs for it one day, was no greeted by any member of staff, lots of tables still had plates/cups that had been used on. Not a wide variety of food and what was there, didn’t look very appealing. We had some juice & got a pastry from local shop down the road. The view and balcony was mostly the only reason I booked the room! Very close to the train station which is also ideal! Just lacks the personal touches, and cosy feel to the room.

Value for money with friendly and helpful staff in a great location close to amenities bus and train station. Lovely building and no extra cost for balcony as renovations are ongoing inside during short window of opportunity between seasons meaning had scaffolding outside. No working extractor in bathrooms and warnings about costly penalties should smoke/fire alarm be triggered seemed a bit extreme in circumstances. Breakfast buffet area was very well stocked but very short on space with both staff and guests accessing stations from the same point/side. Cramped seating, I really don't want to hear other guests chewing their food in the seat beside me.

The hotel is very conveniently located near the train and bus stations. The room is very spacious by European standard, room is bright with multiple windows and doors, and has nice balconies. Bathroom is one of the few hotels we stayed that does not leak water bear it has a tub. The continental breakfast is good too.

Locating at a beautiful areas, with a views of river for both sides of the building. Convenient location for public transportation. Historically prestigious atmosphere, high ceiling, great bath room and tab design. Breakfast options are great. Each table had unique and distinct flower and pot. This hotel has the best location in Interlaken West. Also, has the best views to the river. The receptionist was really nice and helpful. I would definitely stay at this hotel on my next adventure in Interlaken.

This hotel is one of the old hotels of Switzerland. It is well located, looks impressive from the outside and the receptionist was friendly. Because of its location it has become an overnight stop for people from all over the world who are going to the 'honey pots' in the area. Clearly from the notices in my room there have been problems. Equally the hotel has descended in its offering to a rather 'don't care attitude'. Cleaners seemed to be rushed off their feet. I was nearly scalded by the hot water Lighting was poor, connections need checking. Bathroom mirror too high. Furnishings worn. Poor value for the price.

Great view but uncomfortable bed

The location is outstanding- I had a room with view over the river and the mountains. But the room was very dated and the bed was very uncomfortable (the mattress felt worn out). So all in all, I would not stay there again

It is right next to, or adjacent to the train station. The hotel is simply a little tired. Breakfast is included and is adequate though the, single burner, cook your own eggs station is a bit of a cluster.
