Disliked: Communication, location, listing accuracy
We returned home one day to discover a stranger in our apartment. After contacting the host, we were told that we had to lock an internal door as it was a shared laundry space that was in our apartment. This was news to us. It is advertised that we would have exclusive use of the apartment. All this was not conveyed to us at the time of booking. We had left the apartment with our passports, money and expensive tech equipment believing it was secure. Part of the exclusive use deal included the outdoor patio, but multiple times a day the host’s 95 year old father usually in a singlet would shuffle through the space. Also the views presented in the listing must have been taken from an upstairs space, which we were told in no uncertain terms was out of bounds to us. Our views were of a side fence, a backyard bungalow, and a huge electrical pole with many wires going to and from it. Which was overgrown with weeds and the grass was at waist height. So not the lovely patio area as described. What has finally prompted us to pack up and leave are the two rats running around. As the sofa bed is foam and lay directly on the floor we made the decision that enough was enough.
