This was a perfect place for us to view the harbour and walk all around Victoria Harbour, ferries, parliament buildings, shops, restaurants, grocery, fishermen’s wharf, cruise ship area and more! Keurig, kettle, larger fridge, pool, hot tub, harbour view (if chosen on booking), older bathroom, older hallway, no a/c - big floor fan, nice staff. Perfect for us. We walked lots during our 4 day stay. The hallways are older and had old person smell (hence the 4 star on property) but the room was perfect for us. Watching the harbour, day and night.

This is a very affordable hotel in a very convenient location. There is nothing fancy about it, but it is clean and has a great view of the Inner Harbour.

Great property for the value or just a place to sleep, but definitely an older property and it shows. There was no AC, the bathroom was so small, with a step up and I’d hardly say they have a kitchenette. You’re cooking in the entry door. It’s all usable but definitely nothing amazing and it’s very old and dated. The best part of the property was the location and amazing staff! One note - parking is very limited so plan accordingly if you need to find street parking.

Rooms are lovely and clean. Great harbour views and can walk to the harbour, fisherman’s wharf, and downtown. Pool is nice. Rooms aren’t air conditioned but we didn’t have an issue

Just Okay

The staff and location of the hotel are on point, however the room we were assigned was a quite a departure from the depiction from the website. The room is dim, worn, and you can tell there is little attention to maintaining it. There isn't a full size stove like the one shown in the photos. The fridge is small. The room isn't equipped with air conditioning which is by today's standards a must. The room had a fan which worked well however wasn't cooling enough and was noisy to run all night at full strength. Having the window open was not a good option because the street noise is extremely loud. The bed were uncomfortable and very small. They are not suitable for two full grown people. I am 5'2". I understand it was my choice to select a two star hotel, however I figured that for $400/nt (with the website pictures in mind) we would have a better stay than what we got, needless to say we are quite disappointed.

All front desk staff were kind and generous and truly interested in being helpful. So too were the cleaning staff, the wait staff, and the maintenance guy. One can more easily overlook shortcomings, when the staff are this good. The hot water pressure in the bathroom sink was a problem for shaving. The only elevator is archaic, has no fan, and stops so abruptly, it's frightening. It's replacement should be a priority. So get on it! I would also suggest getting outside awnings on the windows above the parking lot. To not only mitigate the heat issue from the southern exposure, and no AC; but enhance the property's backside, which all guests staying at the hotel see, when they first drive in. I appreciate the deck atmosphere, and the, and tavern/pub fare offered from the kitchen, and I don't fancy myself as a cuisine connoisseur, however the food here is really bad. The food was overcooked, and the sauces were not tasty. If you are going to overwhelm guests with the drink menus, then at least make the food offerings simple and good. Guests are not expecting fine dining here, just better recipes. That being said; the location is excellent, and I would likely revisit this hotel myself and possibly recommend it to others, albeit with caveats.
