See my previous rating. GREAT describes the accommodation at the guest house, the decor in the pub that overlooks the harbour, the food and the drinks AND the chocolates — check out the beer ands chocolate pairings! This establishment is so worth the visit for any of these offerings.

This place is so quaint and yet entirely comfortable and everything is so lovingly appointed, from the tea-for-two set to the bath robes. Food in the restaurant is great, too. You don’t have to even like beer to enjoy a stay here and it’s a 20 minute walk to downtown.

We loved our stay at Spinnakers! Our first room in the guesthouse had a broken bed but once we told the team they quickly moved us to a new room without any issues. The space was clean and quiet, and overall very enjoyable, location is perfect! We would be happy to stay here again on our next visit! The bathroom was in need of some serious repairs, which is the reason for the 4 star review.

This is a great place to stay. Granted it’s not poshy updated marble and brass - it’s a homey, roomy, delightfully clean and woodsy. And it’s literally a stones throw from the pub which is arguably one of the best in Vic. We have been here before and will be back again! Value for the money. And a bonus sampler pack of beer and chocolates when you stay. Really? Wow.

The room was in a lovely, well-kept old mansion located within a few steps of the brewpub’s parking lot. Clean, a nostalgic delight to the eyes, and as cosy as old slippers. The delightful, huge, old bathroom was well-appointed and boasted as large soaker tub. The pub had a very enticing menu of food and drinks. Their own beers are varied and very good. They also have guest taps for beer wine and cider, and an extensive wine and drink list, including several whiskies. A wonderful guest bonus was that we received complimentary flights of beer paired with locally made specialty chocolates. We felt well pampered by the pub/restaurant and guesthouse and really look forward to staying again soon!

The staff was excellent. The room was clean but definitely showing its age. The bathroom needs a total gut job. Holes in the wall next to the tub due to water damage most likely, are extremely off putting.

Staff was very friendly and courteous, one of our rooms was beautiful. The second room (basement suite style) was okay. The toilet didn’t flush every other attempt, and next to the toilet was a large hole in the wall, with peeling flooring and an overall questionable looking bathtub. There were also a lot of spiders! Large ones in nearly every corner of the room, one even crawled on my leg as I sat on the couch! Other than that, interesting property with private and unique rooms.
