I'm always keen to find a hotel which offers something a little different to the norm and this stood out with it being an 'art hotel' - I requested the superior art room and got the room I wanted. 301 Highly recommended with a balcony onto the reception area, a fantastic big room with huge bed and great bathroom. Everything is computerised from lighting to heating and although we saw some reviews which said this was tricky we found it fine and the sensor light in bathroom didn't bother us at all. Sorting out the a/c was a little trickier when on one night it was very warm but it was a minor thing. One night we even came back earlier so we could make the most of this fantastic room and hotel. The breakfast was incredible. .. so much on offer, we were full for the rest of the day! Great quirky hotel slap bang in the middle of the Old Town. Couldn't ask for more!

Excellent Location

Pros: Location, comfort and friendly staff.
Stayed here recently and really enjoyed my stay. The hotel is in a great location on Piles Street which is not far from the Town Hall (where you can pick up the 'Free Tours') in one direction and Cathedral Square in the other. There are souvenir shops, restaurants, coffee shops and a small supermarket nearby. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. Some people have commented on a lack of breakfast choice - not sure where they were staying. You could chose a variety of egg omelette / fried dishes - I recommend the omelette with mushrooms and bacon, also comes with a small salad. Buffett of bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes. Along with cereal, fruit, pastries, yoghurt etc I didn't eat in the restaurant but the menu looked nice. The room was very comfortable and if like me you forget your travel adapter for your phone etc don't worry as there are usb ports in the room (I had 4) I took a taxi that they organised for me due to arrival time but it was quite steep at 20 euros (I paid for the convenience). On the way back I walked with a small case to the train station (which is a good 25 min walk) and took the train back for 0.70 euros. The decoration is great and I loved the different carpet pattern on each floor.
