Stay in one of Wanaka’s most distinctive homes — a two-storey architectural retreat with sweeping views of Lake Wanaka, Roy’s Peak, and Treble Cone. Two generous bedrooms sit downstairs, finished in rich timber and steel, while the upstairs living space opens to a dramatic panoramic outlook. With no straight walls, no plasterboard, and black charred cladding outside, this bold, artistic home offers a luxury stay that’s intentionally different and visually unforgettable.
Please note this property is one large home divided into three fully self-contained apartments. As sound can travel between units, we ask all guests to be respectful of others and keep noise to a reasonable level at all times.
Pets must be keep quiet at all times!
Quiet hours are strictly between 10:00pm and 8:00am. During this time, music, TVs and conversations must be kept low to ensure all guests can enjoy a peaceful stay.

We initially checked in for a one night stay and we find the house so nice, we decided to stay an additional two nights. The house had a unique design aesthetic and had everything we needed. The house had a wonderful mountain view and the house was close to town. We would definitely stay at Blue Steel again on our next stay at Wanaka.
