Flooded basement unit in a sketchy area with bugs that will come back home with you

Truly had a terrible time staying at this property. The first spent listening to a physical altercation in the unit above me which the owner brushed under the rug. The second night I was greeted by spider beetles in the main room. Some of caught a ride with me to my new apartment. Don’t book this property during flood season because the unit will be flooded.The family tried to play dumb and said this has never happened before even though there was still water in the closet I saw upon move in, they told me exactly how to fix the flooding from coming through the door into the unit and had a special fire hose installed in the front to clean their drain. The owner asked me (the tenant) what I think they should do about the flooded property and if I even wanted him to still come about 30 mins after he claimed to be on his way. Upon arrival they asked me if I wanted to vacuum up the flood water in the unit. They became irate at the idea of a refund for the nights the property was uninhabitable and my items that were destroyed by the flood water and told me my things wouldn’t have been ruined if I didn’t bring an “illegal” amount of stuff and that they would report me for being uncooperative. All around headache trying to deal with the damages and loss of property.
