could have been so much better
Property/lodge was nice, but the horrible communication by the host significantly impacted our stay. I reached out after booking (prior to our stay) with an easy question and it took the host almost three days to respond. The listing also said lockbox code would be provided day of check in (a pain, as we were traveling and the property is located in a remote area with bad cell coverage). No code or instructions were provided that day, even by 4:00pm check in time, so I called and the cell number was unreachable. I messaged via the app right after that (from an area that had cell coverage) and the host replied a hour and a half later saying the house is unlocked and the key was inside. There was also a significant amount of someone’s left over food in the refrigerator and two of the beds were unmade.Very frustrating.
