Great location in DC with full kitchen

Nice 3 star hotel walking distance to museums main DC attractions and Georgetown. Very helpful friendly staff Restaurant in the lobby serves bkfst and dinner. Valet parking is convenient but expensive, compare first with other around. Full kitchen too

I’ve stayed here many times now. Can’t beat their very pet friendly policies as well as their ever accommodating staff. Although the hotel rooms could use a bit of a refresh, the staff, location and pricing really can’t be beat.

Perfect stay

Charming hotel in a very nice and safe neighborhood. The staff was very friendly and efficient. Valet service was also wonderful. Car was always waiting on us. There’s not much around that is walkable but Georgetown is just a short drive away. Loved our stay.

Great place to stay.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice with a useful and comfortable sofa bed. The room was clean. The bathroom was fine but could use an update. Plenty of storage space. Located on a lovely residential block in Foggy Bottom, very close to George Washington University. We spent 3 very nice days there. Highly recommend it.

Excellent Stay

From check in to check out we really enjoyed our stay. Front desk staff was welcoming & gave us some great suggestions on places to eat. The metro stop is a short walk away. The bunk room was perfect for us. Very clean, comfortable with excellent amenities. I would not hesitate to stay again or recommend to friends and family.

I love staying at the River Inn because it is close to most of what I want to visit when I am in DC, the rooms are comfortable, the neighborhood is quiet, having both a kitchenette and a bathtub - what a treat

It was cold! To be fair I am a California resident there on November 5th ... the room was freezing to me. But they immediately brought me a space heater so I survived the two days. The staff was personable and I would stay there again because it was within walking distance to all the places I was there to visit.

A very nice place to stay

I have to say all the good outweighs the two bad receptionist I encountered and one of them I give her a bit of credit because she let me check in earlier than my "paid for early check in hour". But, she was a bit ready to be mean to me at the drop of dime, let's just say it all depended on how I responded to anything she said to me. The second one was a bit annoyed that she had to come from behind the desk to let me in the building because no one told me that I would need to use my key card to enter after 10-pm. This all took place at 10:42 pm.. lol anyway, the room was clean; the floor i stayed in was pleasantly quiet throughout my stay and the best part about it all is there's a full kitchen with pots and dishes. Yes a stove an actual stove. The rooms are spacious and the pillows and bed are comfortable. The valet guy was very nice and helpful i didn't get his name but he is of some sort of Indian descent. Very nice man and the hostess that morning was very nice talkative and helpful. I did not eat in the restaurant but it seems to be a lovely place to dine it was very busy for all three meal and the guest dining seemed very happy having their meals there. If I'm ever back in DC this is definitely going to be my place to stay.

A centrally located place, about a 5-min walk from the Metro. Nice, walkable neighborhood. Very friendly staff. Daily room service. Comfy bed and also comfy sofa bed. Kitchen with some utensils, china and pots in the room. Some parts of the room show their age a little bit (e.g., kitchen faucet, shower), but that adds to the charm.
