The apartment is a part of a residential dwelling. It was in a great location, right outside of Stowe and on a quiet road. The price was great, and the hot tub was just what we needed after long hikes and bike trips.Unfortunately, there was a pervasive moldy odor in the dwelling which never went away. After ending our stay, the next day we would still smell the musty odor of mildew on our clothes.

Perfect dog-friendly spot.

Great deal for you & your dog. Fully-fenced & gated yard. Sweet little porch to sit and toss ball. Comfortable bed. Huge room-hugging couch that we used as a second bed. The little fan in the room is a blessing. Bring a supplemental battery fan on a humid day. Host is great with communications and responsive to requests. Both Toko & Uno give it two paws up!!! We'll be back. Thank you.

Great option

My son had a hockey tournament in the area and we went with this option, to save a little. The room was clean and was in it's own separate section of the house. Check in was very easy. The host was great with communication and flexible with the accommodations/requests.

Communication was quick and easy! We even opted to stay an extra night. The only down side would be for someone who is looking for top of the line. Room is small and needs updating in the bathroom but we were just happy to have a nice place to sleep and shower. This was a trip to see our kids for Christmas and ski at Stowe. All in all for the price it was perfect. Our pup and grandpup loved the yard.

Save Yourself And Read the Reviews: Smelly

It smells. Badly. We messed up and skimmed the reviews and were in a rush. Don’t be us The location is amazing, the price is cheap but wow is the musky smell bad. It wasn’t cleaned well either, dust and cobwebs and insects all over. It is sorta a basement but that doesn’t mean it can’t be cleaned. A deep heavy wet mildew smell clinging to everything the moment you walk in the door If you have standards for cleanliness and comfort. A distaste for pervasive mildew smell that sticks to your clothes and items and would ensure no trip is romantic or intimate. This is not the place for you. I wouldn’t have Gone to effort to write this so aggressively but when I mentioned this to the host and asked if they had a dehumidifier they responded as if that was insane. Never heard that before and checked and didn’t smell it. Prompted me to look at the reviews and everyone mentions it. They just don’t care. If you’re some buddies who need a cheap place to crash in a convenient area this will do it for you. Otherwise stay away and thank us later

Our stay at the Vrbo property was absolutely delightful! The cozy atmosphere and nostalgic charm made it the perfect haven after a day of mountain adventures. The hosts' thoughtful touches, like board games and coffee, truly made us feel at home. It's rare to find such attention to detail and hospitality, and we were grateful for the wonderful experience.

There was a musty smell, the dog (which was not mentioned in the listing) is loud, and the bathroom still had someone else's loofah in it, but we could live with that. What we couldn't live with was that the bedroom door did not lock from the inside and was fully accessible to the owner from other doors. A lock on the doorknob wouldn't have mattered anyway because the doorknob wasn't even connected to the door.

Everything was as expected. Except for the barking & poop in the yard. It made the yard not useable. And when it rained. The yard flooded and made poopy mud areas. The hot tub was private and convenient. But had a lot of dirt and sediment in it. Communication was 10/10 though. Thank you

The room was cozy and comfortable and the hot tub was a fun addition to our stay. The location was great to enjoy skiing and there is a great coffee place just minutes away. Unfortunately the room had a musty smell, maybe from the hot tub outside, and it was overwhelming. The clothes we brought home from the room somehow also kept the smell and brought it home with us.

Sounds of dogs all night and domestic disputes = run

Woke up to the sounds of a fun little domestic dispute (could basically hear the whole thing) so I bolted. The property owner refuses to refund me for at least 2 out of the 3 nights that I booked (I guess they are broke and need the money). The property is dingy and falling apart, the bathroom has the vibrant undertones of mold and dank with every tile in the bathroom caked in soap scum. I'm neither a germaphobe nor a neat-freak by any means, and I've stayed in plenty of barracks rooms and some ramshackle hovels overseas, but this place was just dirty and not cared for. Good luck getting your bags through the rear entry as the door swings the wrong direction which is probably a fire hazard. They'll ask you to "make sure the gate is latched" (because this is obviously a known problem for them) so their dogs don't get out, but you'll struggle to get it latched and even if you do it's hanging on by a thread, so if the wind blows it'll go. And then, even when you do manage to fall asleep, after hearing the dogs scurry across the floor all night, jumping off the bed (and these are not tiny dogs), the two homeowners pounding their feet right above you, coughing all night long, etc., you'll get to awake at 7:45 to the sounds of argument and eventually the front door slamming. Seriously, just go anywhere else. These people run a janky operation and don't care about their property or their guests.

Not good

This property is definitely priced below the average cost for the area. If you are looking for a budget stay this would be it. We never care if a place we stay is pretty or not and this place is not pretty. However, it was also not clean and had a terrible smell. The sheets and towels were musty smelling as well. My husband and I arrived very late from the airport so we stayed out first booked night and booked other accommodations for the rest of our stay in Stowe. The shower had a dirty washcloth in it and the curtain was very moldy. I couldn’t find cleaning products but I had to wipe out this sink of hair before using it. We had 5 total nights booked and stayed for 1. I did message the host that we left early due to it not being clean and did not receive a response.

Perfect for a quick stay

My boyfriend and I were looking for somewhere in the area that was basically just a place to sleep. This was perfect and is ideal for 1 or 2 adults. I would stay here again and hopefully would use the hot tub next time. :)
