There is another pub, The Railway 1.5 miles away at other end of village Both Welshpool and Montgomery are only a few miles away and have everything on offer. The location gives you the opportunity to create your own outdoor adventure, from canals, to walking, sightseeing, castles and amenities. In particular, the family run Kerry Vale vineyard is only 7 miles away, set in 6 acres of farmland, and offers a wine tasting afternoon tea.

Alternatively, Ludlow is a market town in Shropshire, just over 30 miles away.

The town is arguably one of the finest historic towns in England with a wealth of beautiful period buildings. The centrepiece to the town is the dramatic, medieval Ludlow Castle, plus throughout the year there are various food markets that shouldn’t be missed. The nearest coastal town is Aberdyfi in Wales, 40 miles away, if you wanted a day out at the beach. Top House is truly a top house for you to experience and explore Mid Wales and Shropshire.
