We booked to stay here 2 nights in June. The day we were to arrive we got a message from the hotel to say that they were undergoing renovations and they would refund us for our breakfast charges and give us a free to-go breakfast one day. Annoying as we have a very picky eater and the buffet is a main reason we booked Premier Inn. When we arrived it took the counter staff ages to check us in as apparently there was something confusing about the booking in the system. She was very nice though. So then we had to go into town to get dinner as there was no restaurant. At night the rooms get so hot as the aircon/heating is centrally controlled so there’s nothing you can do about it. Then we’ve had to chase them constantly for almost 2 months to try and get the breakfast refund, even though they said they would sort it in the message we received. We have had such good premier inn experiences, which is why we stayed there but this is by far the worst premier inn we’ve stayed in. Very disappointing but thankfully Expedia finally helped us sort out the refund for the breakfasts
