Fig Tree Cottage is a cosy, two bedroom house, situated in the relaxing seaside town of Whitstable.
The cottage offers a wonderful family stay in all seasons and is conveniently located just a very short stroll from the beach, harbour, and town. During the winter months, enjoy cuddling up on the sofa with a cosy throw while the log burner gently warms the room. In the summer, relax in the delightful garden beneath the fig tree, perhaps with a refreshing cold drink.
You check in using a key box code. I am however local to the area, so if you need anything or have any questions, I am only a phone call away and a short drive!
Nestled in a conservation area, Fig Tree Cottage is just a three-minute stroll from Whitstable's unique shops and tempting cafés and restaurants. While enjoying a peaceful day by the sea, don't forget to visit the idyllic Neptune Pub if you find yourself feeling thirsty. For those seeking more active pursuits, you can book a session at the Tennis Courts or hire a bicycle and explore the historical Crab and Winkle Way.
You have access to all areas in the property except for the shed and one of the cupboards in the double bedroom.
Step inside Fig Tree Cottage's recently decorated living and dining room, where an inviting log burner creates a cosy ambience for enjoying films or dancing to music on the BOSE speaker. The galley-style kitchen is equipped with everything you need to prepare a hearty meal, including a Nespresso coffee machine for enjoying a frothy coffee in the morning.
Ascending to the first floor, you'll discover a contemporary bathroom complete with a bath and overhead rain shower, a toilet, and a basin. You'll also find a spacious double bedroom at the front and a charming bunk bedroom at the rear, making the cottage an ideal retreat for either a family or a couple.
The large, mature cottage garden, featuring beautiful fig trees that line the path, offers a perfect setting for evening relaxation and backs directly onto the renowned Crab and Winkle Way.
There is free street parking on the road and surrounding roads. The nearest paid parking is Victoria Street car park. You can view the charges on the Canterbury City Council website. Parking can be limited in the high season but once you have parked up, you are close enough to walk into town, beach, shops etc.
You can also visit the 'Just Park' website to find out where to park in Whitstable.
There are frequent busses running from Whitstable to Herne Bay and Canterbury. You will find bus stops along Harbour Street, High Street, Oxford Street etc.
The trains from Whitstable station will take you to Ramsgate or further afield to London. Whitstable Train Station is about a 10 minute walk to the town centre.
Whitstable Taxi services are available for short fares or airport runs.
The nearest airports are in London and the nearest Ferry port is in Dover.
