This was a very nice hotel. The room and bathroom area were very clean. The breakfast offerred a good variety of food and was well stocked. We also like the casino that was close and this hotel was close the the venues we needed.

I’ve stayed here several times now. My rooms are always very clean and comfortable and have lots of room to move around easily. The breakfast is one of the best perks as it is always so good and everything is fresh. This property inside and out is always very clean and tidy.

I have never been in a cleaner hotel room. From top to bottom this room was spotless and amazing. The bed was comfortable. Unfortunately, outside of the property was littered with fast food trash and empty beer and alcohol bottles. Empty Glass bottles were in the grass and in the parking lot. There are no outside seating areas. This is a smoke free hotel which is great since it’s close to a casino and many guests smoke outside the property. There was a heavy weed smell in the hall when we left in the early morning. The air conditioner did not cool very well but it was very hot weather during our stay. They have a good assortment of to go food and drink items. You must pay separately and can’t charge to your room.

Overall our stay here was nice and as expected. The issues we had were with the breakfast which may have been due to coming about 30 minutes before it ended. The eggs were dry and burnt as was the sausage. I would give the included breakfast less than 1 star. We realize this hotel may be new and it would be a very nice upgrade if there was a walking path from the hotel to the casino.

The Winds hotel was very nice. We (my wife & I) stayed 2 nights while attending a funeral service in the area. Our room was clean; the bathroom was in excellent shape, and very clean as well. The bed was fairly comfortable (although the pillows were hard-as-a-rock, LOL). It appears that the entire facility has had a major renovation recently, as old "Google Maps" images showed it to be a 'chain hotel' in the past. In any case, it was a very pleasant stay, and the price was reasonable. It's located just 10-15 minutes north from downtown Wichita, and had very easy access from the I-235, and was just minute or two off the turnpike, yet was a fairly quiet location. Parking seemed ample, but could probably fill-up if the place got really busy. All-in-all, a nice stay (I've been in worse!). If/when we are up in the Wichita area again, I would not hesitate to to stay here again.

We didn't visit the casino. My family was just traveling through Kansas, If there's one improvement, it's to get rid of the independent snack vendor and let stuff be billed to the room.
