Due to work, I had to stay in Wildwood, NJ for an entire month and ended up staying at three different hotels, including The Vibes and Monaco. All three hotels were priced similarly, but the experience could not have been more different. I rated the other two one star due to serious issues with cleanliness, noise, and lack of basic services like room service. The Madison Resort is a true five-star experience. I worked night shift, and the rooms were exceptionally quiet, which is rare for a beach town. The room was spotless, comfortable, and genuinely welcoming. The décor was tasteful and cozy, and being right on the beach was an added bonus. After long overnight shifts, coming back to such a peaceful, clean environment made a huge difference. The staff truly set this hotel apart. They were attentive, professional, and kind. Even when I accidentally locked myself out of my room at 0600, they handled it promptly and graciously without making me feel like an inconvenience. I stayed from November through December during Wildwood’s off-season, and even on days when I was literally the only guest in the hotel, I was treated like a VIP. That level of care and professionalism says a lot about the management and staff. I honestly wish I had found The Madison first on Expedia. If I had, I would have spent all 30 days here without hesitation. Thank you to the entire Madison staff for an outstanding stay. You set the standard for what hospitality should be.

Well appointed, mostly seemed very clean, but there were several hairs on the shower wall. Towels were plentiful. The mattress sagged a bit in the center, but the pillows were very comfortable. Great location, reasonably priced, it served our needs well.

The room was a disappointment. My brother had a condominium adjacent to this property and decided to try it because the rooms were very affordable. I decided to take a trip with my girlfriend for a short weekend stay. When we arrived, the room was stark. No dresser for clothing, no shelf inside shower for bathing items. Our television did not work (fire tv) and the worst part was the heat did not work. The night we arrived, the thermostat was locked on 64 degrees. The next afternoon we requested maintenance. He unlocked the it, but the heat never rose above 65 degrees. We left and took a trip to Cape May and returned with a cold room. The cleaning crew were noisy moving furniture and dropping items above our heads. This went on for over an hour after 8:00 am. We checked out around 8pm and did not stay the second night, even though we paid for it. We went to my brother’s condo next door. I can say the best part of the room was the complimentary bathrobes and extra blanket. My girlfriend wore the robe all night to keep warm. I would suggest to make sure the heat and television work before you get unpacked and comfortable. I mostly will not return. >Brian M.
