This was my first time traveling to Curacao, and the Sunscape was awesome. All of the dining options were great except the buffet. The nightclub was closed while we were there which was a bummer. More active night activities would make the resort better. The location was amazing, but the hotel could use some upgrades. We had no hot water in our room the whole trip. Complained to the front desk for 3 days straight, and nothing was done. Other than that. The stay was great.

While the beach is one of the best on the island and the grounds are beautiful, all the rest, particularly the rooms, need a total gut job! To say it is outdated is an understatement. The infrastructure is broken beyond repair, Air conditioning, working faucets, sliding glass doors that jam, chipped paint, shower curtains that fall off, toilets that don't flush, musty smells, and dark rooms were all in need of complete overhauls. The Italian restaurant was great and the Hibachi restaurant was good. The two others had very limited selections and the buffet was the worst we have experienced on any island. The hotel definitely needs more staff. Long waits for restaurants and drinks was unacceptable. Finally, when the island lost power, this hotel did not have working generators like others surrounding it, and we had no power for 16 hours. While this hotel is considered budget friendly, be careful about choosing affordable. It wasn't worth it!

Honest opinion!!! Pros: staff are sweet as can be! Couldn’t ask for nicer staff. The beach is stunning and great for snorkeling. Also very good coffee at the cafe! Cons: the building/rooms are outdated. Not a huge deal to me but it’s hard for the AC to keep up with the rooms due to older units. It was on 60 the whole time but felt more like 75ish. However We did ask for a fan and they brought it immediately. The food is also very average. Hibachi was probably the best one. For an all inclusive it is not a bad price however we would do a different resort next time and probably just pay a bit more.

We have been visiting this resort for the past 5 years. The staff is wonderful, always kind, friendly and helpful. The entertainment staff, especially Candyman, Crazy G and Marvett, do an excellent job of hosting activities that everyone will enjoy. We can't wait to come back next summer.

The food options were great and tasty. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. Great pool and beach area.The one downside was I felt on check-in there should have been assistance with bags to carry to your room. But overall, a great place!

A mix of good and bad. Great beach and staff. The hotel is seriously lacking in certain things. The place is way understaffed and alot of things would be open one day then closed the next, including the swim up bar. The main bar had one bartender which is crazy. The buffet place for lunch was the worst ive ever seen in 45 plus years of traveling. They would run out of everything all the time and the food was.meh at best. The staff was GREATand made up for tge shortcomings. Oh and the a.c. and hot water in the rooms suck badly. The island itself is nice, just dont expect fine sand beaches.

This resort is in extreme need of updates. There’s is nothing to do but swim, only 2 pools, one is a child’s pool. Only 2 bars, the one in the lobby is rarely open. The staff at the buffet are rude. There was a woman bartender that I wish I had her name, she worked in the lobby bar Friday, she was outstanding. The food at the buffet was horrible. The water in Curacao was breath taking. I chose this resort because the comments were good, very misleading.

This resort was a disappointment. Many of the staff were not friendly. The food options for breakfast and the buffet were not good at all and we usually left the property to eat despite it being an all inclusive. The room was large in building 2 with good AC, but family members in another building had hot rooms. Nice beach, but cheap lawn chairs. I would stay somewhere else on a return trip.

The TV was not working and the service person could not solve it. And the smell coming from the sewer near to the dining area was very noticeable. I have been here before and this was the first time experiencing both issues.

Front desk people very nice. Food servers very nice. I feel bad for them because the cooks are so slow. It took an hour and a half to get our food and when we got it, it was raw. (Fried fish) we watched and if a table complained they would find their ticket and cook their food. Two tables came and ordered after us and we watched as they complained they found their ticket and cooked their food. At the buffet, you have to ask someone to cook your pasta and heat up the sauce. When I did that the cook literally rolled her eyes at me. I waited about 10 minutes to get ice cream and then I finally walked away. Not even sure what they were doing. There is air conditioning but it doesn’t really work. We put it down as much as we could ( 66 degrees) and it just never got cold. The first room we were in had a light outside the balcony that was hanging from the ceiling from an electrical cord and it faced the glass door. Our room did not have a blackout curtain so the first night it looked like the sun was coming up all night. We did get a room change and it had blackout curtains and a normal light outside. But the AC was the same. The BEACH IS BEAUTIFUL!! If they would get some training for the cooks on how to expidite I think a lot more people would be satisfied. The place needs a little TLC. It could be amazing if they put some work into it. And again the severs and front desk people very nice. We checked in at the sun club room. AC was great in there.
