The host resides nearby and is very knowledgeable and accommodating. They helped us so much upon our late arrival and provided us with food due to stores being closed. The house and beach are exquisite and luxurious. Don’t miss rooftop patio…a special place all around.

We loved this house! It was so nice and clean, and the beach was absolutely gorgeous and so secluded. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! There were several kayaks for my boys to kayak across to the beautiful two little islands across from the house to explore and fish. Valerie was so gracious and helpful and went above and beyond to help us check in after our crazy flight day. Highly highly recommend this property to families or couples !

This wasn’t our first trip to Exuma and we were excited to return. About 2 weeks prior to our stay, we were informed by the owner that the beach was no longer accessible from the property. She offered a full refund but also suggested that we could access the beach 50’ away from her property next door. We decided to make it work but stressed that pool and beach access were top priorities for us. We arrived to find out that the beach wasn’t accessible from her property either and the closest beach access was over 1/4 mile away. That is problem number 1 which was huge but wait there’s more. The owner came over without warning regularly. When she came over it was never pleasant. She came over one time and complained to my guest that someone spilled something on the pool deck. It was actually seagul poop which we pointed out and she changed her attitude quickly. Of all the options to stay in exuma this one is incredibly overpriced and the host is difficult and unpleasant to deal with. There were more issues but I am ready to put my experience at, villa esencia behind us.

A superb home

We have stayed in Exuma over 15 times in the past decade or so, and Villa Esencia is a GEM. it is clear that the owners took great care in crafting a solid, well-designed, and thoughtful home. The ceilings themselves and light-infused living room is gorgeous. Each bedroom has an en suite. Mattresses and pillows are top notch, and the induction cooktop is awesome! Valerie and Pierre are SO kind, and communicated exceedingly well. We look forward to our return to Villa Esencia.
