Peaceful Place in the City

We spent four days at this property during our family beach trip. The house is located in a nice, quiet neighborhood very close to downtown Wilmington and the Riverwalk. It was clean and well-maintained, and while we did have one issue upon check-in, the host was very responsive and helped to rectify the problem. It was great to have a washer and dryer on site with two little kids. The bedrooms are spacious and the bathrooms (especially the showers!) are very nice. Overall, we had a great stay. Thanks so much!

Close to attractions

While we appreciated the host opening their home and communication, it is NOT what is listed. The yard was overgrown and neighbors house(s) are very rundown. The direct neighbor has a completely overgrown lawn that distracts from the shad-less view in the kitchen. The landscapers came after we contacted the owner and they were great! We needed to clean the mold and mildew in the main shower and the other bathroom had a moldy shower curtain. The washer was mold filled and the towels smelled. There were disgusting hairs near the towels and baseboards. I did contact the owner to let them know their cleaning company was not up to the fees charged. The spare blankets had stains on them that we tried to clean, on OUR vacation. Overall the owners seem great but quality control needs to be a priority for the price they are charging.

I travel to Wilmington frequently and was extremely pleased with this property...I will absolutely book again! I was unsure when I saw the exterior photo, but was really pleased when i saw it in person. The neighborhood was great and this is a prime location to explore the Brooklyn Arts District and also to attend events at Live Oak Pavillion. We had excellent local dining (recommend 310!) And we went to concert...easy walk. Absolutely enjoyed this stay and this beautifull little house!!

Beautifully renovated home in the downtown Wilmington arts district. The house was immaculate! My wife and I enjoyed walking down to waterfront and walking to the local restaurants. This place would be perfect for a concert at the Live Oak Pavilion.

The house was clean, the furniture and beds were comfortable and we felt at home. It was good for small kids because there werent a ton of breakables they could mess with. Lots of towels!

Visiting family

This was a wonderful place to stay. We had no problem at all. It was within walking distance to downtown. The only improvements I would suggest would to be to add some patio furniture to enjoy then deck outside. Also I might add a throw blanket to the couch. We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent location to walk to Live Oak Pavilion. House was very clean and had everything you needed (even a meat thermometer!) The neighborhood is definitely transitional - some nice houses, some not. The kitchen window looks out over a mess of a neighbor's back yard, but the price of the rental was very fair, in consideration of everything. We will definitely stay here again

Cute place

Only issue we had was the parking. If there is an event or service at the Church next door, the only available parking is on a different block. House is comfortable and set up nicely. If you plan to walk to the Riverwalk area, it’s 1.4 miles away, so if you have kids or elderly, plan for that. Would definitely rent again and recommend it to others.

Cozy home in Downtown Wilmington

Jody was a wonderful host. She quickly responded to any questions we had and gave some great recommendations for dinner in the area. The home was well stocked with all the basics we needed and even left a few snacks that the kids enjoyed. The beds and couches were very comfortable and we all slept great. We loved the neighborhood, it was quiet and full of vegetable gardens and porches filled with beautiful houseplants. It was a short walk to a locally owned donut shop for breakfast and a family run ice cream shop for dessert! What we most appreciated was not having a long list of chores to complete at checkout on top of a cleaning fee. We gladly started a load of towels and ran the dishwasher prior to packing up. We will absolutely stay here again!

Quick Trip

Overall we had a good stay. There were some cosmetic issues with the home, but they did not hinder our stay. I let the owner know and they said maintenance would take care of it. We never had an issue with street parking and were always in front of the house. The kitchen is pretty you can tell they put effort in to it. There are two beautiful porches, however, there is no outdoor seating. This would be a great bonus for guests. Also, be aware that there is a street light right near the front of the house that shines into the 2nd bedroom. Our kids had a hard time falling asleep - would recommend some blackout curtains. We would stay again if in the area.

Location, location, location

Love this remodeled old home in the historic district. We walked all over downtown Wilmington. We attended a concert, visited local breweries, and local cusine.... and we NEVER moved our vehicle. Food Lion was two mils away and we stopped and bought our groceried. The kitchen is well stocked and we cooked breakfast both days. (Paper towels, trash bags, laundry/ dish detergent, nice pots and pans, utensils) Bathrooms are nice and beds (mattress) are comfortable. The only thing we would have liked to have seen is a grill on the back deck. We loved this house and the homeowner is a GREAT communicator!!!!! Thanks for a GREAT weekend in Wilmington!! We will be back!

Nice small house -convienent to downtown

House is convenient to downtown. Did not experience any noise from area/streets. Beds were comfortable. It is a small single house on 1 floor, but plenty of room for our group of 3 adults. The deck could have used some chairs..we moved the dining room chairs out to the deck. One bathroom had no hooks/hanging space for wet towels to hang, nor were there electrical outlets in this bathroom.
