We loved the 24 hour coffee and tea availability. The breakfast was really good with my favorites like oatmeal and toppings, a yogurt machine, eggs, meat, toast, and pancakes. The room was great with controllable heat, good water pressure/temperature in the shower, and a well-designed shade that covered the window and blocked the light. Lastly, the staff was kind, courteous, and helpful (specifically James at the front desk and Cathy at breakfast). Highly recommended and easy access to Wrightsville Beach too (little traffic in the winter).

The bed was uncomfortable; it made it difficult to sleep. Worst night of sleep in a hotel for us in a long time. The bathroom soap and shampoo dispensers are squeeze bottles that you have to full-hand squeeze to get anything out; these are bottles that many other people have touched, it's not a sanitary way to get your soap. The breakfast was lacking quite a bit. I appreciate that they did have a breakfast offered, thankfully it was included with the room as free is about the right price for what they offered. The clerk who checked us out was not very personable and didn't present very professionally. Now, the good things,...the hotel looks new and very clean. Parker was well lit and right next to the door. Their lobby connivence items for sell were well stocked and had a big variety. The pool table in the lobby added a bit of fun. Our room was bigger than expected, and the TV was the largest we have seen in a hotel room in a long time. The blackout curtains worked well. Location directly across from the Mayfair outdoor mall.

Basic, clean rooms. Fine for a quick stay if you are using points. Rooms are a little tight. I would recommend the Hampton Inn over this hotel if the price were the same or very close. I appreciate aTru for their amenities (great gym, good breakfast, clean showers) but it is basic as it's meant to be, and I wasn't there long enough to use any amenities.

The receptionist when we got there was super nice and friendly. The set up in the lobby is cozy and super nice to read or spend time with people. The pool table was fun to play with the team. Room was clean.
