Very neat and tidy bedroom, warm & friendly welcome, excellent location for Winchester centre, only a 5 minute walk. St Johns Croft has a lovely quirky ambience, the whole place smells of lovely old timber, gardens are delightful, the breakfast wholesome, much of it locally sourced. We enjoyed the fresh fruit and yoghurt and the smoked salmon and scrambled egg which we ate around a large table in a friendly kitchen. It was a beautiful house full of character.

One of a kind accommodation, friendly hosts and delicious breakfast. Perfectly situated 10 minutes walk from city centre but felt like you were in the middle of a quaint village! Cat was a bit aloof but it was a cat!!!

A lovely place to stay - home from home.

Really enjoyed our stay. Very friendly hosts and liked the accommodation very much. Only drawback was that the wifi connection in my room was unreliable but I think the hosts plan to get that fixed. Really enjoyed the cosy informality. Definitely plan to return.

A lovely stay

St John's an amazing house with a quirky interior and a beautiful garden. Our room was very clean and comfy and the shower excellent. The breakfast at the communal table provided an excellent conversation with the other guests and the breakfast was very good. There was parking for the car and the location is very central, thoroughly recommended.

This property is over 300 hundred years old! It is a treasure and has AMAZING character. Don’t expect ultra modern conveniences because owners are limited in what can be changed in historic properties, St John’s Croft is a quintessential old English home to be appreciated. Our room was bright and beds and linens were fluffy and cozy. Bathroom was two steps outside of our room. Five minute walk down the hill into Winchester. Nick and Dottie are wonderful hosts. Would stay here again.

The property is a bread and breakfast and family owned. The room was large and the bed comfortable. We were able to walk all around Winchester and see the sites while parking our car at the B&B. Very good breakfast.
