We had a lovely stay here. Everyone was very welcoming, friendly and attentive. Upon arrival we had to wait for our room to be ready and had a drink in the garden which was so peaceful. Our room was very spacious and we had alot of space to put our clothes away, the bed was nice but it was two beds put together and it was very clear, but nothing major still had the best sleep. The shower was amazing great water pressure and good temperature.

This property was clearly once a lovely hotel but it seems a little tired in need of a refurb. The room was quite hot so we were grateful for the fan. No fridge in the room to keep water cold. Also closing the very full bar at 11 on a Saturday night seemed a bit early too. Paying £15 a night for parking in the hotel car park was also a bit off considering the rooms weren't that cheap. The gardens are lovely though.

A really enjoyable two night stay in this excellent hotel. The room was clean, and the bed comfortable. The breakfasts were among the best I have experienced ... plenty of choice and very tasty (real honey!). The evening meal was also very good. Staff were helpful and friendly and the car parking was no problem. I highly recommend this hotel and will gladly stay there again. We even met Bob Mortimer, Paul Whitehouse and their dog Ted!

A delightful hotel. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. The food was delicious. Loved hanging out in the courtyard for an evening nightcap. Very conveniently located in Winchester. Enjoyed all the history behind the hotel and Winchester is a fascinating town.

Lovely place to stay.

Hotel is in a great location, right in the heart of Winchester. The room was very clean, the bed really comfortable. Added bonus of a coffee machine. Staff were all polite, friendly and helpful.

Very nice old hotel with lots of history, Comfortable bed and lots of hot water in the bathroom The shower is in a high sided bath but it works ok if you can manage stepping into the bath. There are a few steps to encounter in the hotel No brochers on local attractions are provided in the hotel. The available breakfast is comprehensive and very good. Looks like a great place for weddings in the very nice garden.

Great hotel literally yards from the high street but set on a really quiet road. Staff were all super helpful and it has a great bar and garden where you can sit and chill after a busy day sightseeing. Theres two carparks at this hotel which although you have to pay for, are superb and super convenient. Beds are big & comfy and i wouldn't hesitate in using this hotel again.

Great, character hotel right in the centre of Winchester. Easy walking distance of the high street and Catherderal and numerous restaurants and coffee shops. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely room and fantastic bathroom however general maintenance of the room could be improved.
