The Bunkhouse at 5C Red Barn, LLC

Your cozy getaway awaits in Wytheville at this terrific barn. You haven't experienced a farm until you stay in a barn. The room is located inside an actual working barn.
We maintain a very clean barn but please recognize that IT"S A BARN. Please be prepared for farm type smells.

Inside, guests find two nice loft room featuring a queen bed and two twin beds, perfect for a small group or family. Also, please be aware that I'll need to be able to climb a 8 ft ladder to access the loft. The ladder leading up to the loft is steep and sturdy and easy to climb. The loft only has 5 ft clearance. The Bunkhouse included a small bathroom with a stand up shower.

We are a working farm where you will see sheep, cows, chickens, horses, and dogs.
Guests are welcome to walk around the barn yard. You may observe animals at a distance. Do not enter areas ( stalls or paddocks) with animals under any circumstances. DO NOT FEED THE ANIMALS
We do have multiple dogs that will be around during the day Not recommended for children who are scared of dogs.

Our barn is conveniently located to 81/77 corridor just 6.3 miles from the town of Wytheville.

You’re sure to make fantastic memories with a stay at our place.

This rental was the perfect starting point for some hiking I wanted to do in the area. Mt Rogers (tallest peak in Va) is close by, as are The Channels, which was my focus for this trip. This place can easily host 3-4 people, maybe even 5 if one wants to sleep on the couch. The beds were the best feature, super comfortable, best sleep of my life. You do have to climb up ladders to get to them, they're loft style, but I'd crawl over broken glass to get back to them. There is a sink, a mini fridge and a microwave, so you can't really 'cook', but there's so much food and shopping within 10-15 minutes it didnt really matter, and we weren't planning on cooking anyways. The shower was great, both in pressure and in having really hot water that lasted. I kinda thought the TV was too small, but I spent the final night there staying up pretty late with my son watching movies and it was perfectly fine. It's not a large space overall, but it's very well designed, not an inch taken for granted. The rental is on an active farm with horses, sheep, chickens, etc, and 2 gorgeous guard dogs who were super friendly to us, and at night you could hear them chasing away critters or any other threats to the livestock. We had a pretty tight itenerary, so we didn't really get to explore the farm more and get to know our hosts better, but the interaction we did have with our host Renee was very pleasant and cordial. 10/10 would recommend to friends, and would love to stay again in the future.
