I just stayed here one night as part of a longer journey, but the hotel was beautiful. Clean, comfortable, quie. All the staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, and it’s connected to the train station for ease of travel and options for dining.

Perfect for traveling in the area. Right in the train station, and you can’t even hear any noise. We had a city view room, and the view was amazing of the mountains in the background. Will stay here again for sure.

A Gem of a Hotel

I didn’t have very high expectations for this hotel, as it was in a fairly rural part of north Japan but I was so impressed. I stayed in 5 hotels during my two week stay and this hotel was my favourite! The room was spacious, it smelled clean, the view was breathtaking, and it was connected to the station so getting on and off the Shinkansen was a breeze.

The hotel is within Yamagata Station, a perfect place to stay in especially when it is snowing outside. Excellent hotel and definitely value for money. Will stay again if we are back in Yamagata.

Perfect location for me. Didn't need to leave Yamagata station to gain access to the hotel. Also very close to the bus station for transferring on to Zao Onsen. Very clean, polite staff, good room lighting and a large selection of bathroom items available. Nice extensive range for the Western breakfast
