The house was fantastic! The host thought of everything. We thoroughly enjoyed the porch as did our teenagers and younger kids. The kids loved the rooms and it was a perfect walking distance to the beach. We loved the theme of the house. Access to beach chairs, beach wagon, and yard games was so helpful. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to cap off our summer beach vacation.

Clean, comfortable and cozy. Great for our family with 3 young children. Location can’t be beat. Dog friendly but you wouldn’t even notice because the place is cared for so well. Peaceful place for the dog to hang while you are at the beach. Quick walk to the ocean. Our favorite place to stay in York!

Stay at Groovy house

My family and I had a great time. We could walk to the beach in 5 mins. It was a quiet dead end street. Maggie had beach chairs for the beach and tables for outside to sit and eat outside. It was wonderful

Family reunion

We stayed for a week in early August with two other couples and a baby. The cottage was very cozy, clean and well equipped for meal preparation and dining. The sun porch was a favorite spot for relaxing with a cup of coffee. Walking distance from the beach and beach accessories provided were very useful cart, beach chairs etc. Just a few minutes drive from lots of attractions and the vibe at York Beach is very unique and family oriented. Thanks to our hosts for a great stay.

Perfect Beach House

We had a wonderful stay! It was extremely clean, updated and close to the ocean. The house is located in an adorable neighborhood on a dead end street. The house was full of everything you could possibly need for your stay (soap, laundry detergent, lots of toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, towels, beach towels, etc. The appliances were new and everything was very clean. The house decor is very unique and fun! The only hard part was that with kids the walk to the good beach area, near Stone’s Throw on long sands, is a bit far (about 1.3 mile walk). We would definitely stay here again!

Nice getaway spot

Reasonable walk to the beach- our favorite side. Dead end street great for kids playing. Cottage was clean and comfortable. When kids get older they would get to enjoy the upstairs more but ours are too young right now so we mostly utilized the downstairs. Love that we can bring dogs. Best retnal we have stayed at so far In York!

Clean and cozy

The property was very clean and cozy. The neighborhood was quiet and tucked away feom the main road. It was a short walk to the ocean and Lobster Cove. We enjoyed watching the thunderstorms in the screened in porch. We felt at home and so did our pup! We will definitely be coming back!

OMG!!! Our stay was just Fabulous!!! The house far exceeded my expectations, and everything was so cozy and comfortable..just like home!! If I could buy this home I would in a heart beat!! Simply incredible

My family and I adored this house. Not only is it just a short and lovely little walk to Long Sands, but also it’s just a beautiful property. The kind of place that isn’t just a landing pad; it feels like a cozy and happy home for the week. Neat, clean, whimsical, and fun. My young kids thought it was magical, and we didn’t disagree. A week in York

We can’t say enough good things about our stay at Maggie’s place. The second we walked in we were all in love. We couldn’t stop commenting on how beautifully decorated and clean everything was. A perfect location as you can walk to the beach as well as take a quick trip in your car to all of the surrounding areas. Plenty of room for all of us. We all loved spending our mornings on the beautiful Sun porch. Would gladly stay here again!!

Relaxing retreat walking distance to ocean!

Quiet home on dead end street. All amenities needed are provided by host. Walking distance to Ocean and several restaurants. My family consisted of my 2 daughters my husband and our medium size pup. My husband's mother visited for 2 days and each daughter had a friend visit during the week. Easy to drive to beach and neighboring towns. Loved taking walks along the shore and easy access just up the road.

Awesome House

The house is awesome! It is set in a quiet neighborhood, close to the ocean, and very clean. The walk to the accessible beach was longer than we had anticipated but was not that bad considering we had young child with us and lots to bring along. At the end of the neighborhood is the ocean, but that's not the accessible beach. In general we had an awesome week there and would totally rent the house again if we return to York. The host was very communicative and everything was made very easy to check in and check out.

Amazing getaway

My family and I adored this gorgeous house by Long Sands Beach. The decor was fabulous, the location was perfect, and communication with the owner was seamless. My daughters fell in love with the house and the town and it was difficult to say goodbye. It was a wonderful and relaxing week.

York Gem

This is an exceptional property. Aside from ideal proximity to the beach, gorgeous lighting and beautiful decor, what also really makes this place a gem is all the attention to detail the host has put into this place. There are soft and comfortable throw blankets in every room, glassware for wine, champagne and margaritas, and a shed filled with everything you need for a beach day and things you didn’t even know you needed. Maggie Mae has made the porch/sun room into an oasis where my daughter had a tea party with her stuffed sloth and we read and drank our morning coffee everyday. You will wake up joyful here. We hope to return again soon and love that we were able to find this gem.

Said my 14 year old son. House was clean, bright, private, on quiet dead end street. Loved the design elements. Thoroughly enjoyed the sunroom. Beach and two dining options within walking distance. Would definitely stay again.

Perfection near the beach!

This house is perfect! So thoughtfully and creatively decorated, every detail carefully considered, immaculate. We had a tricky time booking the reservation because the website was being wonky and we were trying to log in from a location with poor internet service—the homeowners were communicative and understanding, they got us all sorted out. My spouse and I stayed with our 10 year old daughter, our 13 year old son, and his friend. My daughter went nuts for the decor; she wants to live in this house when she grows up! The location is great, walkable to the beach and all beach supplies are right there to use! We didn’t cook at all (surrounded by fantastic restaurants) but everything you could possibly need was available in the house. I wish we had done a little photo shoot with our family in the house. The murals on the walls and ceilings, the adorable tiled bathroom shower, the fun toys and games made it such a special place. If you’re looking for a mellow weekend in a chic space near the beautiful sea shore—book this home!

Very nice place for a family

Very cozy, less than 5 minutes walk to reach the sea (rock beach), plus another 5 minutes to reach the sand beach. Very clean, good beds, quiet and powerful air conditioning units, nice shower. We used extensively the screened porch, having our morning coffee with toddlers while parents were sleeping upstairs, as well as for the apero. Owner was very quick to reply. Many thanks.

Perfect little summer house!

The house is nicely decorated, located footsteps from the the beach and in a very quiet neighborhood. Maggie is responsive and dedicated. Highly recommended!
