Gem of a stay

Communications before during and after our stay was superb. Our room was spacious spotless and free from any other guest noise. The small treats in the room were a nice touch. The only slight issue was no shower gel in the bathroom so I had to use my wife’s. At least it made me smell sweet . Unfortunately due to our early start we didn’t have breakfast which did smell really nice. We are doing the York 10k event again and will stay here preferably room 14

Beautiful Property

Beautiful property with a lovely spacious room with 3 single beds. Two beds were really comfy but the third was a sofa bed and not very comfortable. Well stocked tea tray but would prefer a coffee machine and fresh milk. But I’m a coffee snob! Lovely breakfast and would fully recommend this property.

The staff was friendly and helpful when we arrived. She helped us with a dinner reservation and advised us on some things to do in York. The hotel was an easy walk to the York city wall and the train station. The room was lovely. Do book the delicious breakfast. It is plentiful and will get you ready for a day of exploring!

Excellent hotel

Lovely place to stay. Room was spotless. You could tell entering the room that the couple who own the property were truly passionate about the hotel. Nice little extras like biscuits/chocolate/shampoo/shower gel. Nice selection of tea/coffee/hot chocolate. Hotel in a nice location - 1 mile walk from train station, quiet nice area near race course, but also close to City Centre

This guest house is nicely situated near to the Knavesmire and York Racecourse and also within walking distance of the walled city of York. Our room was comfortable and bright and the staff, including Allison, were very attentive. Paid parking is available but we were able to park in the road outside the guesthouse without charge.
