Vintage mökki täysin modernisoitu, upea ranta, järvinäköala

Pieni kivitalo, joka sijaitsee pienessä aidatussa Elks Pointin yhteisössä, rakennettiin vuonna 1927 graniitilla läheisen Cave Rock -tunnelin louhinnasta. Vaikka vuoristoalueella säilyy kaikki 1920-luvun mökin viehätysvoima, se uudistettiin kokonaan vuonna 2008 moderneilla mukavuuksilla ja voitti Mountain Home Magazine -lehden parhaan historiallisen suojelun palkinnon.

Talvi tai kesä, pieni kivitalo on mukava ja kutsuva. Kaunis kivitakka tekee viihtyisästä olohuoneesta niin rentouttavan päivän jälkeen rinteillä. Lämpiminä kuukausina tämä viehättävä talo tarjoaa useita ulkotiloja nauttiaksesi kauniista maisemista. Yläkerrassa on kaksi makuuhuonetta, joissa on omat kylpyhuoneet - toisessa iso marmorinen suihku ja toisessa alkuperäinen clawfoot-kylpyamme, joka vie sinut takaisin yksinkertaisempaan aikaan, kun liotat ja katsot ylös kattoikkunaa. Parvella oleva vuodesohva on täydellinen paikka lasten nukkumiseen. Kaksi pientä kannetta makuuhuoneesta ja parvella ovat rentouttavia paikkoja aamukahvallesi. Alakerrassa on myös puoli kylpyhuone. Kauniisti kunnostetussa ja täysin varustetussa keittiössä on marmorilaatikot ja kuparitilan pesuallas, ja ruokasalissa on mukavasti kuusi. Korkeiden mäntyjen varjostamalla takakannella on suodatettu näkymä järvelle, ja ulkona olevassa ruokapöydässä on kahdeksan.

Elk Point -yhteisöllä on suuri ranta, jonne pääsee autolla tai viiden minuutin kävelymatkan päässä. Rannalla on köysirata, jossa on ankkuroitu uinti- ja sukellustaso, rantalentopallokenttä ja hevosenkengän kuoppa. Tupla- ja yhden kajakin, pystyssä oleva melontalauta, polkupyöriä, vesileluja, aurinkovarjoja ja useita eri kokoisia pelastusliivejä on saatavana käytettäväksi.

Vain muutaman minuutin päässä on taivaallinen hiihtokeskus (jossa on maailmanluokan hiihto ja laaja valikoima kesätoimintoja) ja Edgewood-golfkenttä, joka on Celebrity Golf Classic -koti. We loved the Little Stone House!

The Little Stone house was the perfect weekend get away for our family and 3-year old niece. We really enjoyed the historic house with modern luxuries. It has a full kitchen with everything you would need to cook. We enjoyed the backyard too with a little view of the lake. Nice quiet neighborhood which feels private and safe. The only issue is the neighbors very clearly display “renters not welcome” signs in their windows which makes you feel a tiny bit unwelcome. But it’s easy to ignore and they keep themselves. It’s an awesome location with a short drive to the nearest Safeway and only 7 mins from heavenly village. The little stone house was very kid friendly with an area for kids to watch movies and play. Overall a very special place and we look forward to our next stay!

Great Charming Home

We had a great time staying here. The house was clean. The kitchen was well stocked and the views were great! The loft has plenty of games for the family. Nancy was a delight to work with. We booked last minute and it was easy and the communication was great. We will definitely book this again!

Romantic Stone cottage get away

We loved staying in this stone house. It's in a quiet neighborhood with acesable walkign trails and access to the beach. The owner was super helpful and takes loving care of the home. We will come again for sure!

Relaxing Tahoe Getaway

Its hard to imagine a better Tahoe getaway. The Little Stone House has a cozy, Lodge feel. Very quiet! Beautiful tree-filtered views of the lake. Spotlessly clean, and well stocked for anything one might need to enjoy the outdoors or cook a delicious meal. We stayed there during a particularly warm spell, and the Little Stone House was pleasantly cool. Grateful for the garage, as this seemed to be (large) pinecone dropping season!

Super host, super property

The little stone house is the perfect place for a Tahoe vacation. It is ocated so close to many wo derful activities, with its own private beach, and has all the touches of home to make it perfect. But what really outs it over the top is super host Nancy - she is avaialable, helpful, and encouraging. What a wonderful experience. I can' wait to return!

A wonderful getaway!

All of the other reviews talk about how wonderful the home is, and they're right! We enjoyed the views from the loft, and left a few puzzles for the collection. I wanted to address the accessibility concerns from another review. Stairs are a problem for me, but I loved this home and figured we'd make it work somehow. Here's what worked for me - I used a cane on the stairs out front, because there's no railing. You could also go through the garage and use the railing onto the back porch. It was totally worth the extra challenge.

Excellent Getaway with Private Beach

The perfect spot to get away for a few days, or weeks, or months...! The Little Stone House was cozy, quaint and in a perfect, quiet little community. The private beach was the definite gem, as we had it all to ourselves almost every day we were there. Nancy was a very gracious host and was always quick to respond to any questions we may have had. We will be doing our best to visit again as soon as we can! There are not enough wonderful things to say about this house. A true gem!

Exceeded expectations!

A small part of me wants to tell everyone how you shouldn't come here... just so i can enjoy booking this amazing gem whenever I wanted. But alas, i will tell the truth: it was perfect! Worth Every Penny

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights in the summer. The house is beautiful and fully equipped with everything you need inside the house and for a trip to the private beach less than a 5 minutes away. Our host Nancy went out of her way to be accommodating and was quick to text back if I had any questions. She clearly takes pride in this property and it shows. She's thought of everything to make your stay comfortable as well as informed on anything you might want to do. The house is perfectly located away from the madness in town in a quiet neighborhood but is just a quick drive to get in the thick of everything. We made great memories in our short time there and would definitely return.

Perfect Stay for our Family

The Little Stone House was perfect for our family getaway celebrating our daughter's high school graduation. It had plenty of room for all four of us. The view from the back deck was a favorite for morning coffee and sunsets. The private beach was walkable and super convenient to drive and park when bringing more beach equipment. A wonderful trip!

Beautiful Rustic Charm

We really enjoyed our stay in The Little Stone House. So much history in such a beautiful setting. The location was perfect! The house is well stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Nancy was a pleasure to work with. She provided an abundance of information not only about the home, but the surrounding area (best local restaurants and things to do). We'd love to return in the summer to take advantage of the lake.

A Wonderful Getaway

EVERYTHING is exactly as advertised. Nancy is such a pleasure to work with and she has thought of everything. The private beach is a huge plus - no fighting the crowds! The location is close to all the activities and food and amenities. We will definitely be back. We already miss our morning coffee and afternoon naps on the deck.

Perfection

The Little Stone House is perfect! Nestled in a woodsy, hillside community reached through a private gated entrance, the Little Stone House offers a wonderful blend of historical charm, every modern convenience, and a caring host, Nancy, who welcomes you warmly and has supplied every amenity you can imagine. A twist of wooden staircase, well lit by motion lights as well as the overhead lights, leads up to master bedroom, a dream, with comfy beds and bedding, a wall of windows looking out through towering trees to the blue of the lake, or nighttime stargazing, and a small balcony for looking down at the lovely garden area complete with barbecue and family table tucked in around huge boulders. the attached bathroom has a roomy shower with plenty of hot water. A second bedroom enchants with an old fashioned clawfoot tub beneath a sloping roof. Between the two is a tv/game room filled with games and art supplies, that is open to the living room below with its gas fireplace and lounge-able couch and chairs. Nancy has filled the kitchen with every necessity, including a carved wooden gargoyle looming over the 'old-fashioned' stove and an island for preparing and eating meals, unless you prefer the gorgeous dining room table. As if that wasn't enough, a garage holds sports equipment, and there is more down at the community's private section of beach, an easy tree-lined walk from the house. The Little Stone House felt like home and we can't wait to return.
