Great little hotel

3 night stay for start of Switzerland tour. So convenient short walk to tram stops. We received early checkin which was a real bonus after 14 hr flight Rooms are small but comfortable lift is tiny but we were on 3rd floor and used the stairs. Would definitely recommend this hotel. The city was doing major drainage so cab had to drop us off up the hill from hotel. Not an issue for use 70 year olds but there will be some people that wouldn’t be able to cope with the disruption

Altstadt hotel is in a really convenient spot in Zurich!! There is construction going on, on that street though which can be loud as cars pass by. Again very convenient though. Very nice rooms and bathroom! Has an elevator as well.

Tucked out of the way but a great find!

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the room was spotless. Location was perfect for all areas of the city. It was a fantastic start to our trip and would very highly recommend.

Lovely boutique Hotel in the heart of Zurich

Great property with friendly and attentive staff in the heart of Old Town Zurich. We booked the room with the private rooftop deck, and I would highly recommend it! Great to sit on the deck at sunset and look out over the river and the city.

Great stay!

A great experience staying at Aldstadt hotel. The staff were so friendly and it was very clean. Right in the heart of the old part of the city. Really comfortable beds and a lovely cafe downstairs too!

The location is good, close to the train station and dining options, however, the room was exceptionally small and the beds were probably the most uncomfortable we’ve attempted to sleep in. Girl at the front desk was very nice and breakfast was just ok. Overall Zurich is not a place we’d like to visit again. Locals are not welcoming to visitors and that’s just disappointing.

I have stayed at the Altstadt several times over the years, it’s a great boutique hotel in an excellent location in the middle of the old city. Always very clean and accommodating.

Location was great but the bathroom in particular needed a deeper clean. The shower head wouldn’t stay in one place due to the water pressure that kept making it move around. Our stay was very loud because of street construction.
