Sacramento successful stay

It was great. They just weren’t a lot of tourist. We stayed on Monday and Tuesday night. The only thing we say would be nice if the pool was heated, but we like your staff food was great and it was a beautiful hotel even though it’s under construction.

It feels like a nice upscale hotel. The staff was nice. The lobby gift shop had a nice selection, but closed randomly (and seemingly only when I needed it). The coffee shop was great. The rooms were mixed. The college dorm refrigerators seemed very out of place. The beds were good, and the pillows were great. Not a lot to do around the hotel. Overall kind of mid.

Clyde was a bust

The hotel itself was lovely and the staff friendly. Unfortunately all amenities were in disrepair. I was staying there for the pool and it was empty. Then I went to get a bucket of ice and the machine was broken. The next day I checked out and went to different hotel.

The whole reason I booked this property was because of the photos of the pool so imagine my disappointment when I arrived and they said the pool is closed. I understand that pools have to close from time to time for maintenance and cleaning, but that is something that should be told to people when they book. Also, I wouldn't recommend staying in the downtown area. Old Town is much cleaner, less transients, better dining options.

Its conveniently located down town. We were able to walk to several restaurants. Down side, the pool was closed, but we were not told about this until we checked in. A pool is a must for us when we travel. They offered to shuttle us to their sister hotel for a pool. We were told it was free by one staff member, but another staff member told us it would be a $10 charge. The hotel description lists several restaurants available in the hotel, but this is not the case. A Starbucks is also listed in the description, but I did not see one. We visited the bar 1922 several times. The drinks are good, but they need staff to manage orders from dining area. It was hard to get good service unless you were sitting at the bar. The rooms listed as "suites" are not like other suites. They're not worth the extra money. The only difference between our suite & our friends' regular room was a robe & slippers, a mini fridge, and microwave. There was no extra space.

Fist the room was dirty hair in the tub and sink floor smells. Then the first night the tv was not getting reception. Asked twice for towels then told I needed to come down and get them. Not friendly just a robot. Very disappointing. Going back to double tree. I saved fifty dollars to stay here. Oh the room I was in the hall smelled like something was burnt.
