This place checked all of our boxes for a safe and clean place (and inexpensive) to find a place to eat and spend the night --and get out early in the morning. We ate at Marzoni's (a 3-4 min drive away). It is quite dated, but everything worked (even if hot and cold sides were reversed on the bathroom sink). We were comfortable and got a good night's sleep.

I travel to Hastings PA once a month. For over 15 years I stayed at the Roadway previously Motel 6. Condition of the property and rooms detested. I tried The Wye Motor Inn and was greatly surprised the place is clean everything works in the rooms and it’s convent to I 99 and Rt 36. Best choice I made in many years

Winter weather and a stay at the Wye Motorlodge

Bad Winter weather necessitated booking a motel room for work. I ended up booking online a couple hours before arrival when it became clear that travel home from work would be difficult and I needed to work again the following day. Check in was quick and efficient with friendly service from the front desk associate. Room was comfortable and a very good value for the price. Room door is accessed from the parking lot so it is easy and convenient to load and unload the car. Room was spacious, clean, and offered wifi, mini fridge, microwave, sink, cooktop and kitchen style cabinets. I don't know if other rooms at this motel offer the cooktop and sink amenities. All in all, a comfortable stay and if circumstances (weather, etc) require me to stay at a hotel again related to work, I will select this motel again.

Wouldn’t recommend

Very outdated room. Small shower. Ask for a late check out, wouldn’t do it for no apparent reason. Refrigerator did not work. Was right next to office and a screen door kept slamming every 2 minutes from 8 am - 2 pm.

As I travel to the Altoona area once a month this property is very convent to both I 99 and Rt. 36. It is safe, QUIET, easy parking, registration was easy, simple and fast. 1,000 times simpler then Roadway where I stayed for over 15 years. Wye is best in my book.

Hidden gem of Blair county

Hidden gem of Blair county! This area was my hometown before I moved on to earn a doctorate degree and start my own LLC. Played miniature golf at The Meadows in highschool and drove past this motel hundreds of times on my way to my boyfriend's house. Never noticed it until decades later when I returned to do some detective work. The couple in charge really takes pride in delivering exactly what is promised, a squeaky clean room. You will also receive unlimited heat, a great cable channel selection, convenient parking as well as privacy, peace and quiet. Or, you could waste money on the other corporate brand hotels. It's your choice...

I said I was checking in at 1:30 AM after a late arrival in Pittsburgh. I got there at 1:30 AM and could not get in the place. I had to get another room 5 miles down the road I assume I’m not gonna be charged the place looks pretty rundown as well.
