This is a basic walk up hotel- bed and bath. Steep staircase to lobby one floor up. Next floor staircases are curving and narrow. Lounge has a nice lookout onto Damrak. Friendly staff, not much flexibility in rooms. Close to downtown train station. Walkable to everywhere. Suitable for a short stay.

This hotel boasts a fantastic location, just a short stroll from Centraal Station, making it incredibly convenient for exploring Amsterdam's attractions. Nestled in the heart of the city, it offers easy access to numerous sights and experiences. The staff were exceptional, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout my stay. My room was peaceful and comfortable. While the bed could have been a bit softer, that’s just a matter of personal preference. Overall, I would definitely return and stay here again.

The staff was extremely helpful and very pleasant. Location was easy to get to from the airport and convenient to many places we wanted to visit. The stairs to our 2nd floor room was daunting but very picturesque.

Loved the walkability to this property. Close to restaurants and shopping and train and canal and tour tickets. Need some kind of device to help get luggage up stairs...so many stairs and i didnt pack too bad for a two week holiday. My poor back!

Good and not so good

This is a mixed review because some of my stay was excellent, and some of it was challenging. The good: Great location… Close to everything! The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful… Going above and beyond. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The not so good: this was, I suppose a typical Amsterdam building… In that, there were very steep stairs and My room was on top of a very, very steep Spiral staircase. Fortunately, the Gentlemen at the registration was able to carry my suitcase up all the stairs for me and the staff was able to bring it back down. Also, although my bed was very comfortable, just know that it’s a very basic room… It Was the right place to stay if you just need somewhere to sleep In a good location…And that was the case for me.
