Charged my credit card on day of arrival. I called to confirm a late arrival at 9pm. Oversold hotel and didn’t have my king room when I arrived. Put us in a pet handicapped room and said I was lucky that they weren’t charging me more for a more expensive room type. Poor handling of situation. Room smelled like an animal. No offer to partially refund or other amenity.

The reason this hotel stands out is because it was just totally refurbished. You can still smell the new paint in my room. Apparently the Spark brand buys older hotels and then modernizes them up and redoes them.
