I arrived in Bemidji an hour before check in time. I stopped at the hotel to alert them I was in town and that I'd be checking in after eating at a nearby establishment. After going to a local restaurant for over an hour, I returned to the hotel for check in. Upon walking into the hotel lobby, I noticed another couple standing at the front desk talking to the staff. When the other couple further into the lobby area, I approached the front desk. I said "I'm hoping to check in". to which the desk agent screamed at me and exited into a nearby office when he slammed the door.
