Great place to stay

Everything was perfect. The only thing I would mention is the preparation for the busy weekend wasnt taken in consideration. The hotel wasnt ready for the crowd. Long wait times to check in. The staff was professional though which is a plus.

Room was Clean. Staff was accommodating. Didn’t visit the bar but it looked nice and welcoming. Parking was easy. The air in the room wasn’t very cold but because we were running late I didn’t make it an issue. The room had cooled once we returned that night.

Excellent experience! Our check in employee was awesome and even offered cheesecake in the lounge area. The only thing that was a downer is they charged $15/parking per night. This is new and I am not a fan!

While I greatly appreciated the kindness and professionalism of the staff, I was disappointed by several issues that affected the comfort and quality of my stay. From the start, my room had multiple problems: the air conditioning was not working properly, the internet/TV connection was unreliable, and the sink was not draining correctly. I reported these concerns early Saturday morning before leaving for the day. Unfortunately, upon returning later, I discovered that no one had been to address the issues. This left us having to sit in an uncomfortable room while maintenance attempted to resolve the air conditioning problem. Ultimately, we were moved to another room, but only after a lengthy delay. While the staff members we interacted with were courteous and helpful, the lack of urgency in addressing the issues was very disappointing.

I loved the staff. Ine particular person stood out. That was Deon Jones. The hotel's manager. Her professionalism and caring nature exudes the epitome of I care. We care. She made sure that whatever my concerns with my stay were resolved day 1 I had a unexpected surprise. Little issues with the internet and Expedia listed the rooms as having 2 queen beds. They were actually 2 fulls. Deon asked for my feedback. And Ishared it with her. Deon communication skills are top tier. She made everything better than I could've imagined. The reason my sister and I were in Birmingham was for a Homegoing service for a dear friend. After the services we where leaving to go back to Columbia SC. The repass was so amazing, we decided to stay another night. To our surprise..as I mentioned, Deon's management skills lefts my sister and I was in awe. She turned i! Just as God used her to have it be solidified. Thank you Marriots ( Grandview) Birmingham Alabama Family. Might I add the breakfast was Bon Appetite That sealed the door with a phenomenal send off filled with love and harmony. What a sad occasion turned into joy in more ways than one. Deon Jones. Amanda the restaurant manager and staff was absolutely outstanding. I will make sure to visit again. 2 happy days inspite of the occasion. This Marriott had a barn door for the bathroom door. This leave little privacy as it does not completely close leave a two inch gap between the door and doorframe.
